Coach Mehdi Siadat has trained both boys and girls at various age levels for more than 30 years.

Among his impressive accomplishments, in 2004 Coach Mehdi was named as both the US Youth Soccer Adidas Boys Coach of the Year and the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) Boys Coach of the Year.  He has coached the under 17 boys team of District II's U.S. Soccer Olympic Development Program, the under 17 De Anza Clash team, helped train the Presentation High School team and coached additional local soccer teams. 

Coach Mehdi holds a National C license from the U.S. Soccer Federation, an Advanced National Diploma from NSCAA for coaching, and is a CYSA Staff Instructor teaching licensing courses to CYSA coaches.  Coach Mehdi crafts creative practice sessions and inventive game plans. 

As a teenager Coach Mehdi immigrated to Northern California from his native country Iran and played soccer at Oakland's Skyline High School and Merritt Junior College.  From  1971 to 1974 he competed on San Jose State University's soccer team.  After college Coach Mehdi played with the PARS team of the Peninsula Major League for about 20 years.

  Coach Mehdi chooses to volunteer his time, and, on average, donates about 20 hours a week to the Legends!
