Catchers Equipment Safety Rule
2009 OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS, page 32 Rule 1.17-(d) CATCHERS MUST WEAR A CATCHER'S MASK ATTACHED TO A HELMET AS DESCRIBED IN PARAGRAPHS 1.17-(a)-(c) ABOVE. A HARD PLASTIC PROTECTOR MANUFACTURED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE THROAT SHALL BE SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE MASK EVEN IF THE MASK HAS AN EXTENSION AT THE BOTTOM. This rule requires a throat guard attached to the catchers face mask at the bottom of the mask even if it has a built in extension. This applies to all leagues that places a catcher behind home plate and all types of catchers mask (Hockey style or traditional). Skull type helmets have been banned.
ABUSE
The Lee County Dixie Youth Baseball Program WILL NOT tolerate any type of ABUSE at your practice fields, around the ball park, on or off the field; before, during or after the games toward the Kids, another Coach, Umpires or toward another Parent. Please think before acting. Wednesday, March 25

How? There are several ways you can help make this website better. #1 - You can submit digital pictures. 640x480 resolution and .jpg format must be used. Attach the pics to an e-mail and they will be posted as soon as possible. Please remember to identify the players in the pictures if possible. **We are no longer posting pictures that ARE NOT formatted properly.** #2 - You can report scores from the ballgames and report any errors in the standings, scores, schedule, etc. Be sure to include the league you are reporting. Our website can be an invaluable tool - but it's only as good as the information received. Please do all that you can to help keep things up-to-date! |
