Laurel Little League
SERVING
Laurel, Park City, Joliet, Fromberg & Bridger Montana
(and the surrounding areas)
Since 2010, the Laurel Little League boundary was extended south to the Montana/Wyoming border and with that change we took in programs in Bridger, Fromberg & Joliet which were previously under the Granite Peak (Columbus) Little League Charter. The Board is working on policies and procedures to embrace and support Little League in every community while covering the financial integrity & governmental finacial & reporting requirements. The Board welcomes involvement by residents of all the communities we serve in order to best meet all the interests of all those who want to participate in Little League baseball or softball.

As the season unfolds the need for more volunteers to step up to umpire baseball and softball is great. This week the lack of umpires jeopardized coverage for two of the scheduled games. We currently have four umpires covering games five or six days a week and a regular crew of only three other umpires.
While those of us who enjoy umpiring love to do games, the grinding pace of night after night becomes a burden. Even if your schedule would only allow you to work one or two games a week, we welcome your help in covering those games. The League supplies uniforms, equipment and training. We have a great support group amoung the League umpires and the League Board.
If you think you want to umpire, we can pair you up with our certified umpires to try some games out and get a feel for how the game works from the blue point of view.
Contact Douglas Frank @ 861.3366 or douglas.e.frank@gmail.com. Thanks for helping!
