U18 Boys Fall Season

The U18 Boys started this summer playing in the NY City Showcase winning 2 games and drawing 1 and getting attention from several schools in the northeast. This fall the U18s played in the Florida State Premier League, Disney Qualifier and the CASL Showcase. Our boys are playing a fast paced, intense and a highly competitive brand of football against the very best competition that is out there in the state of Florida and the southeast region. We played at the Disney Qualifier and while we were very competitive and should have advanced, we also learned we had some more work to do as far as finishing on the many opportunities we were creating.

We went on to compete in the Florida State Premier League this fall and finished 8th among 16 top level premier teams. In November, we attended the CASL Showcase Tournament in North Carolina and went undefeated beating teams from Texas and North Carolina. We are looking forward to playing in the Disney Showcase over the holidays as well as the Dallas Cup and Richmond Cup in the spring. In addition to our success as a team, several of our players are actively engaged in discussions with different college coaches about playing at the next level.  Two of our players earned spots on the Florida 98 ODP and the Region III 98 ODP teams.

The U 17 girls started the new season in New York City at the the NYC Showcase. Manhattan provide a beautiful backdrop to the fields located on Randall's Island. The girls play in the Florida State Premier League and have traveled the state quite extensively. They have finished the Fall season in 1st Place with a record of 8-0-1, while scoring 23 goals and allowing just 5. Coach Earle has done a wonderful job and has the girls preparing for the Disney College Showcase over New Years.

U10 Girls Parent/Kid summer game
On Saturday, August 15, the rising U10 girls and their brave parents played the third of our Parent/Kid game summer series. With a few siblings thrown into the mix, we had around 40 players whom we split into teams and played round robin games. What a lot of fun! It was a great chance for new girls to meet their teammates and for everyone to have a good kick-about. It was also an opportunity for parents who have played to wow us with their skills, and for those who have not played before to experience the game as their daughters do. As one mom commented after, “it’s a lot harder than I thought it would be and certainly harder than it looks.” We have a great group of U10 Girls and we’re looking forward to a super year.

U18 Boys - Patrick Sastre and James Scasserra
James and Patrick
Our very own U18 players Patrick Sastre and James Scasserra made the Florida ODP team. Recently the team traveled to Alabama for the Region camp where they played against a top youth team from Costa Rica as well as other state teams in the 12 state region. Both players saw considerable playing time and represented Florida and Ft. Lauderdale Select FC. As a result, they were both chosen for the Region III pool team. Congratulations Patrick and James!!
