Lasso: Welcome

MISSION:
LASSO Soccer is an organization of select soccer players and parents, based in Lowell and open to surrounding areas, with the goal of fielding competitive teams and developing players to their highest potential.

Record numbers of kids (65) ages 4 to 8 participated in the fall LASSO Jr's program.
The LASSO Soccer Club has created this Juniors Program to enhance the soccer experiences of players from ages 4-8. It will not compete with Recreation, AYSO, or YMCA programs, but run adjacent to them so kids can participate in both. We view young soccer players as the foundation for the successful growth of soccer in West Michigan. Our goals are to teach players the proper techniques of soccer at an early age, to ease their development and to instill a passion and love for the game.
LASSO coaches with a support staff of girls from the Lowell High School Team worked with small groups of kids.
Each of the four sessions began with age appropriate skill training. Correct technique for dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting are among the skills that were taught. The remaining time consisted of small sided games.
This program is focused on Correct Technique and Player Development, not who wins, loses or scores goals.
All participants received a LASSO T Shirt and a LASSO JR's Medal.
