Lanier County falls at Mount Paran in Elite Eight
Lanier County's playoff run comes to an end as the tenth ranked Bulldogs (21-9) were outmanned in Kennesaw, against Mt. Paran Christian Academy. Lanier lost both games of the double header 12-1 and 13-0. In game one, the Eagles used twelve hit from Bass, White, White and McRae to wear out the Bulldogs pitching staff. In game two, the Bulldogs faired no better as Ryan Allen allowed seven runs in three innings of work. Reliever, Ethan Mcrae thew the next but had to work out of a couple more jams when costly errors were made. Nathan Bass come back in relief in game two and managed to close the game. BJ Lucky was 3 for 4 with two walks on the day, while other Senior Shortstop Derek White played spairingly due to a torn miniscus in his left knee. Greg Sealey and Slyvester West also hit the ball well for Lanier. The loss ended Lanier County's season at 21-9 overall and 10-3 in Region 1A. Congrats guys for a good season!
