Team 6 finishes the 2009 Season with a record of 8-1.

 

Thank you to all parents for your support throughout the season.  The 2009 season was a special season for Team 6.  Friendships were made.  Some football was taught.  And I hope a lot of fun was had by all the players and cheerleaders!!

I hope we see everyone back next year!

Equipment Turn In

Equipment turn in will be on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 from 6:00-6:30pm at Liberty Jr next to the tennis courts.

All equipment must be placed in a single large trash bag.  Be sure to include a copy of the checklist that was e-mailed to you with your son's name on it.  The checklist can also be found in the handouts section of the website.

Please be sure to wash the practice jersey, practice pants, game pants and girdle.  All number and skull stickers must be removed from the helmet.

Game jerseys are yours to keep.

 

Invitational Broadcast

Our Invitational game against Fairfield will be broadcast on the following dates/times:

  • Friday, November 6 at 7:00pm

Season End Banquet/Party

PBSOur season end banquet/party will be Sunday, November 8 from 1:00-4:00pm at Dave & Buster's.  Please contact Kristina to turn in forms. 

 

Practice Information

The calendar has been updated with practice dates.

 Items needed for practice July 30 thru the end of season:

  • Helmet with mouthpiece attached
  • Water bottle(large)
  • Practice jersey
  • Cleats
  • Shoulder pads
  • Practice pants with pads(knee-2, thigh-2, hip-2, butt)
  • Note: Cups are not required, however, I strongly recommend one.

 

Equipment You Received and Are Responsible For Returning

The following equipment you received will need to be returned at the end of the season:

  • Helmet with chin strap
  • Shoulder pads
  • Black practice pants
  • Red game pants
  • Girdle
  • Pads - 2 hip, 2 thigh, 2 knee, 1 butt
  • 1 red belt
  • Practice jersey (*you will receive the first night of practice)

For those interested, you can purchase better chin straps with a pad on them at Dick's or Play It Again Sports.  Cost is about $10.  Be sure to note whether you need "high " or "low" snaps to ensure a proper fit.

Both places also sell gloves, extra pads (so you don't have to continually switch them between game/practice pants), mouthpieces, etc.  The boys tend to chew up mouthpieces pretty quickly.  It's usually good to have an extra one (or more).

Be sure to check out the Calendar and Links sections of the site.  You will find practice dates & times, the league website, directions to all fields in the league, etc.

Team 6 has partnered with Buffalo Wings & Rings located on Yankee Rd at the end of the strip mall with the Kroger Marketplace.  Be sure to tell your server that you are part of Tomahawks Team #6 and a portion of food receipts will be returned back to the team.

Team 6 has partnered with Lucky Dog Tavern & Grille located on Yankee Rd just west of Cin-Day Rd.  Lucky Dog will return a portion our food receipts directly back to the team.  Families of Team 6 are encouraged to dine at Lucky Dog.
