Tuesday, November 3 2009 Annual Lake Grove Raffle Please be advised that any outstanding Raffle Ticket Stubs that have not been returned to the Club - either sold or unsold - are null and void. Numbers will be drawn each weekday evening at Seneca Middle School at 8 pm. Checks will be mailed to the owners of the winning ticket(s) within two weeks of the drawing. Please keep your tickets, as you are eligible to win, each and every drawing.
Sunday, August 2 Lake Grove United - 2009 US Club National Champions BU14 Following an extremely successful spring season where the team went undefeated and took first place in the Region I Northeast Regional Premier League, the Lake Grove United claimed another victory on Tuesday, July 28th, by beating the Colorado Rapids (ranked #20 in the US, #1 in Colorado) 1-0 to be crowned the 2009 US Club National Champions for Boys U14 in Virginia Beach. Our Club is extremely proud of the United and its tremendous accomplishments this year. We wish them continued success as they represent Lake Grove Soccer in the upcoming season.

Lake Grove Provides over 100 Volunteers for Centereach Ballfield Cleanup
On Saturday, April 18th, players, families and friends got together to help cleanup the Centereach Ballfields on Horseblock Road. The Town of Brookhaven has planned to construct a multi-purpose turf field, which could be ready for the Fall 2009 Season. The volunteers worked throughout the day, from 9:30 to 3:30 and collected many bags of trash, recyclables and debris. This effort will help get the park ready for the field. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time.
Lake Grove Soccer Players March in Memorial Day Parade
Nearly 100 Lake Grove players and family participated in this year's Memorial Day Parade. All the players were decked out in their Lake Grove uniforms, while parents and siblings were rewarded with a "I Play for the Best" Lake Grove T-Shirt. Thanks to all the volunteers and especially Taran Muhlenforth, who organized the event for Lake Grove. The team that had the most participation was "Hawaii" Coach Alfieri and they won a $ 50 Gift Certificate to Dunkin Donuts. Look for these Pictures in the "Our Place" magazine July edition.
Saturday, February 21 Rampage Take First Place in LI Winter Classic
Congratulations to the Lake Grove Rampage for finishing in 1st place in the Long Island Winter Classic Tournament. The boys went undefeated with only allowing 1 goal against them and scoring 13 goals. The boys played very hard and we are so proud of them. Way to go boys!

Congratulations to our U9 boys who have just finished another successful season, still going undefeated in all tournaments played with an outstanding record of 14-0-1.

Congratulations to The Fall 2007 First Place Travel Teams
The Lake Grove Herricanes - Girls U11 - finished off a perfect 9-0 fall season outscoring their opponents 33-5, with 5 shutouts. Congratulations to the girls and coaches. The Boys U13 - Lake Grove United finished atop Division 1 with a near perfect season of 8-0-1, allowing just 6 goals while scoring 32 in a very tough division. Congratulations to all the boys and coaches.

The fundraiser was a HUGE success and we need to extend a great big Thank You to all of our soccer players, parents, families, friends and coaches. We could not have done this without the cooperation of everyone involved. We would also like to congratulate our top sellers. Each of the soccer players listed went above and beyond, and for their efforts they will be rewarded with a $50 gift certificate and a Lake Grove T-shirt. In two of our divisions we had ties, so instead of splitting the amount of the gift certificate we added two more. In addition to those great sellers we have 46 soccer players that sold 10+ tickets and they will be receiving a Lake Grove T-shirt, also. Way to go Lake Grove soccer players! We know this was new to everyone this year, and though this was a success we think next year will be even better! So we’re looking forward to next year and we bet that we’ll run out of tickets, so make sure you get yours early. Again we need to say “THANK YOU” to everyone who participated and “CONGRATS” to all our nightly winners. Also, a huge THANK YOU goes out to Taran Muhlenforth, who coordinated the entire fundraiser. In two closely fought matches, Lake Grove teams captured the Waldbaum's Cup in their divisions. In the Boys U-14 Major Division, the Lake Grove Tomcats defeated the Bayport Hurricanes 1-0 in a shootout. In the Boys U-10 Intermediate B Division, The Lake Grove Vipers defeated the Northport Titans 2-1, also in a shootout. Congratulations go out to the players and coaches of both teams. Tuesday, June 13 Lake Grove Wave Capture Division Title & Waldbaums Cup in Their First Year
The U-10 Girls captured first place in Division S5 with an 8-1 record, outscoring their opponents 27-8. Congratulations to our very successful Girls U10 Wave.
U8 Boys Go Undefeated in Patchogue Medford Festival Congratulations to our U8 Boys Tournament Team who swept through the Patchogue Medford Festival. The boys played three games without allowing any goals. They won 5-0, 3-0, and 6-0. They had a great time and are looking forward to their next tournament together. We are all so proud of them. Everyone played outstanding soccer. Great job boys!
