Who are the HOLYOKE BLUE SOX?
The Holyoke Blue Sox are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The team, a member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, plays their home games at Mackenzie Stadium. The Blue Sox were founded in 2001 as the Concord Quarry Dogs but moved following the 2007 season to Holyoke to fill the void left by the departure of the Holyoke Giants to Lynn, Massachusetts.
The Holyoke Blue Sox Dancers perform at Mackenzie Stadium; during the Blue Sox games. The Dance Team was formed in 2008 with members of the Lady Warriors filling most of the positions on the team.

SOX KICK OFF DINNER
On Wednesday, June 4th people from all over Western MA & CT gathered to welcome the 2008 NECBL Holyoke Blue Sox Baseball team. The night was a success and the people involved in and out of the organization had a great time at the event!
The dinner was the first of many events designed by the Blue Sox to encourage an already impressive amount of excitement in the greater Holyoke community. The Blue Sox GM/COO Barry Wadsworth said of the amount of support the Blue Sox are receiving, “Holyoke has been great, they’ve welcomed us with open arms and we really want to show our appreciation by hosting this dinner.” It was a private event that had been set up to thank many of the sponsors and local businesses that have already shown their support for the NECBL’s newest franchise.
The event began at 6 o’clock on June 4th and was a great opportunity for not only sponsors and businesses, but also the host families that are housing the players to gain recognition for their very important contribution to the team.
The Blue Sox regular season gets under way on Friday June 6th as the team will travel up to Sanford, ME to take on the Mainers, and to Keene, NH on Saturday June 7th, to battle with the Swamp Bats.
The home opener for the Blue Sox is Wednesday June 11th as they will play host to the Swamp Bats and begin a four game homestand, that concludes on Saturday June 14th against the Lowell All-Americans.
