We are very excited with the addition of our 18U A/GOLD team this year!! We are looking for serious athletes willing to commit to play at a very high level of fastpitch softball. For questions or concerns please call Jeff Beasley (757)880-1086 or Tiger Alexander (757)327-8211. Looking for a private try out? Give us a call and we will set it up.
We are looking to build from our very successful 2008/2009 season. The girls improved tremendously!! We will continue our Velocity training and our work outs with college coaches. We will be offering professional pitching and catching lessons!! We have an indoor facility for our winter work outs. Come on out and meet our coaching staff at try outs!! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
The Lady Pilots would like to thank everyone for making the 2008/2009 tryouts a huge success. The Lady Pilots are proud to have a 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U team. If you are interested in a private try-out please call Jeff Beasley @ 757-880-1086 or Tiger Alexander @ 757-327-8211. We are looking forward to a very exciting new year!!! Our teams have been working hard this winter with Brian Haygood, (our strength, speed, and agility coach), and Velocity at the new state of the art Boo Williams Complex in Hampton. The program lasted 10 weeks & some of our teams have decided to stay longer with the program because of the results they have seen!!! Improving our girl’s strength, speed, and agility not only helps them as an athlete but also helps to prevent injuries. We talked about having work outs specific for the female athlete. These workouts will decrease their chances for injuries in the areas where they are more vulnerable than male athletes. This is a great opportunity for our girls!!!!
The Lady Pilots have been working hard this winter at the new VBA(Virginia Baseball Academy) during the winter months. It has been a great pleasure to have the opportunity to have sessions with the CNU coaching staff and players during this period as well. Working along with girls and coaches from the college level will give our girls an idea of what to expect at the next level. It will improve their chances of hopefully reaching their ultimate goal of playing college and Olympic softball in the future.
We are looking forward to not only improving all of our girls athletically but also creating an environment for them to excel as individuals. Competing as a team at the highest level of competition will ultimately mold our girls into respectable citizens. Performing as a student athlete at this level will require commitment and support from all involved!! Encourage your child to work harder when the times get tough. After all we know it doesn't get any easier as they get older. The partnership with teammates, coaches, and parents is critical to the success of our young athletes. The lessons they are learning now will create a sturdy foundation for their future. We are looking forward to working with you all this season!!
Good luck to all the teams as you go about the spring season!!! Remember, continue to work hard for positive results!!!
