Lady Jacket Golf: Lady Jacket News: Lady Jackets with a top 5 finish at Pulaski Invitational

The Lady Jackets finish their first week of the season with a top-5 finish at the Pulaski County Invitational.  The Lady Jackets finished 27 strokes better that their 2008 7th place performance.  This year's team score of 355 was 2 strokes behind fellow region foe Pulaski County and 8 strokes behind defending region champs Russell County.  The tournament was held Saturday at Eagle's Nest Country Club in Somerset.    

The Lady Jackets were led by medalist Becky Sharpe with a score of 79.   Bethany Hamblin shot 86.  Kaylee Akins shot 91.  Julia Higginbotham shot 99 and Kacie Cox shot 123. 

Becky won the overall individual medalist title in a sudden death playoff against Glasgow's Kylie Foushee.  This was Becky's first high school invitational golf title.
