Two Lady Jackets Compete at KHSAA State Tournament
Two Lady Jackets competed this weekend in the 2009 KHSAA State Tournament at the Bowling Green Counrty Club. Sophomore Becky Sharpe had a very good opening round 77 and was in a tie for second place after the first round. This placed her in the second day final group with defending champion Emma Talley and runner-up Lydia Gumm. She shot a second round 84 to finish the tournament is sixth place overall.
Eighth grader Kaylee Akins shot an opening round 91 in her first trip to the state tournament and missed the second round cut by only 4 strokes.
