Lady All Met: Welcome

Saturday, April 11
Welcome to Lady All's info about us...

Lady All Met was created in 2001 and has grown from a few women interested in getting involved with football, to a growing roster of over 30 players and 5 coaches dedicated to structured flag football. Over the past twenty seasons, the team has competed in more than 200 games and has become increasingly more successful in overall knowledge of the sport and competitiveness in the leagues leading to a League Championship in the Spring of 2006.  The increased talent and understanding of the game has led to the respect of other teams on the local and national fronts and culminated in TWO National USFTL Championships (2011 & 2009).

The Lady All Met
women’s flag football team is dedicated to the promotion of organized flag football and supports the fostering and encouragement of women as players, coaches and officials. This goal is achieved as a result of good sportsmanship and an active commitment to the community at large as well as the overall football community. All team members are dedicated to increasing their knowledge of the game and improving themselves as competitors within amateur league play.

Lady All Met is comprised of female athletes led by an experienced coaching staff. Our players and coaches are students, educators, computer technicians and child care providers with competitive, winning attitudes as evidenced by their commitment to weekly practices and games during the Fall and Spring league seasons. The dedication to improvement as players is further evidenced by the team’s intermittent travel to compete in a variety of tournaments throughout the country in locations such as Viriginia Beach, VA; Columbus, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; and Orlando, Florida.

Lady All Met recognizes that participation in both the local and national leagues fosters the opportunity for recognition throughout the flag football community and enables each player to learn more with every passing season about the exciting game of football. Our multi-generational team includes several working mothers and family members. Our fan base is strongly comprised of friends, neighbors and family members who regularly attend our season games and local tournaments.

Lady All Met
is a member of or is affiliated with the following organized flag football associations: the Mid-Atlantic Women’s Flag Football Association (MAWFFA), the United States Flag and Touch League (USFTL) and the International Women’s Flag Football League (IWFFL). All of these organizations are dedicated to embracing female athletes and providing them with a forum for growth as players, coaches and officials while also advertising the game of Women’s football.

Lady All Met recognizes the importance of service to the community. We participate in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure annually and look for other opportunities to be an active part of the community in which we work and play.

The Lady All Met family welcomes new players to join our organization.  One of our goals is to become more prominent in the flag football community.  We are working hard to become a team to contend with in all of the leagues with which we are affiliated. We want our name to be associated with a highly competitive, fun-loving, exciting football organization and we welcome all who are interested in becoming a part of the Lady All Met family!
