Parent Survey

As with any successful organization, we are always looking to improve our processes.  We also value parent input regarding our program and coaches.  Significant amounts of time are put into coaching selection each year, and we appreciate constructive parental feedback about how our coaches are performing.  We are also always open to good ideas for improving league function.  We invite you to participate in a short parent survey.  It is an online survey that can be completed through the site, or just send the league an email if you prefer.   Please take some time to provide us important feedback and information.

Mission Statement

Mission Statement:

LOWELL YOUTH FOOTBALL is a recreational program that teaches sportsmanship, respect, honesty, dedication, responsibility, being a team player and the fundamentals of football, flag football, and cheerleading. The competitiveness is not emphasized in the perspective of winning or losing. There are no official standings kept and no championships awarded. Rules are designed to provide a safe environment for the majority of players. The primary purpose of the Lowell Youth Football Program is that every child will play in every quarter of a game as long as the requirements set forth by this league are met. Examples: attending and participating in all practices, maintaining acceptable academic standards, showing respect to fellow teammates and coaches.
DIVISIONS: FLAG FOOTBALL and YOUTH FOOTBALL.  We belong to the Northern Rocket Football League.

Mission Statement of NORTHERN ROCKET FOOTBALL LEAGUE, Inc.

“ROCKET FOOTBALL” and “FLAG FOOTBALL” are recreational programs for the benefit of children, conducted by interested adults. Although any sport is competitive, this competitiveness is not emphasized, at least in the perspective of winning or losing. The primary purpose of “ROCKETS” is that every child is placed on a team and every player participates as equally as possible. RULES ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE PLAYERS. Believing that each game is incentive enough to provide a competitive atmosphere, there are no official standings kept and no championships awarded. Teams are constructed through the league sponsored draft process,* and in scheduling an effort is made to match teams of similar strengths.

*FLAG FOOTBALL teams are constructed by an areas Field Director and are not subject to NRFL Draft Regulations or Requirements. FLAG FOOTBALL games are scheduled by the individual areas and they are solely responsible for such contests.

78ers Football Is part of the "Big 12" Middle School League. Lowell Youth Football League handles all Administrative-type work for our area. The Youth Program is responsible for sign-ups, payments, equipment, and scheduling transportation and the use of Burch Field. The Youth League does not set coaches, nor do we draft the 78er teams. The Youth League does not govern the 78er Program.
