2008 Pitch Counts

"The goal of this regulation is to protect the pitchers' arm"

Any player on a regular season team may pitch Excluding 12 year olds in the minor league division.
The manager MUST remove the pitcher when said pitcher reaches the limit for his/her age group as listed below.  However the pitcher can complete pitching to a batter if during that at bat the pitcher reaches his/her pitch limit.  The pitcher can remain in the game at another position other than catcher. If the pitcher throws one pitch as a pitcher they can not play the position of catcher for the remainder of the day. However a player may play catcher and then pitch.

17-18 year olds                                       105 pitches per day
13-16 year olds                                         95 pitches per day
11-12 year olds                                         85 pitches per day
9-10 year olds                                            75 pitches per day
7-8 year olds                                             50 pitches per day
"A pitch" is defined as; Any ball or strike thrown from the pitcher including ALL batted balls foul or fair.
Warm up pitches do not count.

The coaches of each team must verify the eligability of each pitcher prior to each game.
Each coach must verify the pitch count at every half inning.  That pitch count shall be written into each scorebook at that time.
Following every game a pitching affidavit MUST be signed by each coach.  That affidavit must be retained by the coach and presented for the following games.  

16 year olds and younger rest periods are as follows;
61 pitches or more = 3 calender days rest and 1 game
41-60 pitches = 2 calender days rest and 1 game
21-40 pitches = 1 calender day rest
1-20 pitches = 0 calender days rest

If a player throws 41 or more pitches in a game they CAN NOT pitch in the next game.
