2007 XC Season: A Season of High Expectations, A Season of Hard Work, A Season of Success!
This is a site dedicated to the Lake View High School Cross Country teams. Just a few years removed from not having a single city qualifier, we are now an elite level team at the CPS and CLASS AA level. The 2007 version of the team features 2 of the top 5 Boys Varsity Runners in Chicago, in Alex Agafonov and Sirak Areki. The boys frosh-soph team is a contender for a top 3 finish at City Championships, and is led by the trio of Michael Tran, Artem Grechko, and Demetrius Monroy. The frosh-soph girls are currently the #1 ranked team in the city, and are led by Adriana Ortiz, Yosely Sebastian, Cory Davilla, and Angelina Jaimes. This season is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the 1977 version of the Lake View XC team, which was the last to win a team city championship. This season is also dedicated to a great coach, Coach Sara Voss, who will unfortunately no longer carry on as XC head coach this year and has handed down the resonsobilities to Coach Corrie Kerr.
