The 12 Hours of Hockey is here to stay!!! There were too many things to list that were so much fun. But I think everyone will agree that the PARENT Vs PLAYER part of the day kept everyone in stitches!! From a penalty for dropping a hat to having the wrong T-shirt on and then playing the game with sticks upside down made PARENT Vs PLAYER a hit!!!

HOW IT WORKS:  It works like a walk-a-thon. (You should have a form packet by now. If not PLEASE contact your coach.) Take your "FORM" around to friends and family and ask them to sponsor your team (RED or BLUE) and pledge so many cents per score your team makes. (ie. 100 points at 20 cents would be $20.) If they want to donate only a certain amount then just enter that amount in the “Straight Donations” category. Once the game is played you will return to collect the pledges made. Check with your coach or the website for total points earned by your team. IF YOU ARE NOT A PART OF THE LEAGUE, BUT STILL WANT TO DONATE Come on out to the event or you can mail a donation to:

THE TEAMS:  The entire league is divided into two teams, "RED" and "BLUE". Your league team will be scheduled to play at a certain time of the day for one hour for the RED or BLUE team. The puck is dropped at 8am and will continue to play following the similar rules as Iron Man. (Full teams with line changes, but the puck does not stop. Take the Puck behind goal after each score. Penalties are penalty shots. There will be a 5 minute break between team changes. ) Some teams will play twice since there are more hours than teams. All other rules apply. (Schedule TBA)
 

PARTICIPATION:  This is a Fund RAISER so please participate!! If you do not wish to collect donations you will need to pay $10 to play that day. This type of fundraiser is designed to allow the players to play and make money. Most parents, including myself, don't want to inventory or organize products. (cookies, candies, etc.) This way we both win! If you are out of town or cannot make your game for some reason... you can still collect money for your team.

Cash or Check!  Make checks payable to "LRHL". Please collect all contributions within two weeks of the event...and TURN IN BY Saturday, December 6th, 2008.  Please turn in to your coach or a board member.

EVERYONE IS INVITED!  Invite your sponsor to come watch you play and stay for the last 2 hours of the day to see who wins!!! We have a concession stand with food and drinks, which also benefits LRHL.
