Little Samurias

The Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department Presents Peterson's Martial Arts "Little Samurai's Program”. Looking for a martial arts program that will build your child's self esteem, self confidence and self respect? Look no further. Peterson’s Martial Arts is currently providing a Martial Arts Curriculum specifically formulated for the young Martial Artist’s ages 3 to 5. Give your child the gift of: self confidence, focus, & discipline. Allow Peterson's Martial Arts to make it fun & rewarding. Classes run continuously for 4 weeks sessions. Class space is limited to the first 12 participants in each time slot. For more information call 728-9885 or 874-6615.

SOFTBALL UMPIRE CLASS:

This class is designed to acquaint individuals interested in umpiring softball, with the rules and mechanics of the game. Offered to all newcomers, as well as, a refresher course for veteran umpires. The fee for the class is $20.00 payable to ISA The class will be held at the Leesburg Recreation Department. This class is held in February. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at 352-728-9885.

BATON TWIRLING AND POM-POM CLASSES

The award winning "Superstars of Central Florida" will be holding classes on Tuesady evenings at the Cultural Arts Building located at 201 East Sixie Avenue. All ages are welcome and no experience necessary. Fee is $35.00 per month and an annual registration fee of $30.00. For information concerning classes contact Cheri Stoffel at 360-0580.

AMERICAN RED CROSS COMMUNITY FIRST AID & SAFETY COURSE:

This 8-hour course is taught by authorized American Red Cross Instructors. The course covers CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, as well as first aid techniques. The course is held on Saturdays from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. First aid certification is valid for 3 years and CPR certification is valid for 1 year. For more information on when the next class is scheduled, contact the Recreation Department at 728-9885. Fee is $25.00


BEGINNING DOG OBEDIENCE:

We currently do not have any classes set up and are looking for an instructor to teach Dog Obedience. If you are interested please call 728-9885.
