Welcome to the LPYAA Website

Mission Statement:

  1) The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association exists to introduce, instruct and

    promote sustained participation in sports to the youth in Lake Placid and

    surrounding communities. They include (to date) soccer, hockey, basketball,

    volleyball, baseball & softball.

 

Statements of Purpose:

  1) To provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth in our community

      to participate in a variety of sports.

  2) To provide quality coaching which gives all participants the opportunity to

      learn and play.

  3) To promote, to the best of our ability, positive experiences for all children

       participating in our programs by supporting a "kids first, winning second"

      philosophy of competition.

The next LPYAA meeting will be Thurs. May 17th, 2018 at the Olympic Training Center on Old Military Road starting at 8 pm sharp.

Anyone who has business to bring before the membership must submit the nature of the business to the secretary for inclusion on the meeting agenda. This can be done by emailing Kim Clark at kimclark.lpyaa@gmail.com. The deadline for agenda items is the second Thursday of each month. If business comes up that does not make the deadline it is either automatically put on the agenda for the following meeting or must be approved for discussion by 3/4 of the members present at the current meeting.

Tuesday, April 10
2018 T-ball, Baseball, and Softball registration

The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association will be holding registration for the 2018 season of T-ball, Baseball, and Softball on April 17th, 19th, and 24th from 5:00-7:00 at the Fish and Game Club shooting range on Old Military Road.

Registration Fees for 2018 are:

$20.00 per player for T-ball and Rookie League $30.00 per player for Minor League and Major League $40.00 per player for Babe Ruth and $30.00 per player, Minors and Majors for Softball.

Ages are:T-Ball (For boys and girls currently in kindergarten or entering kindergarten this fall), Rookie League (For boy and girls currently in 1st or 2nd grade), Minor Little League (For boys and girls who are 9 or 10 before April 30th), Major Little League (For boys who are 11 or 12 before April 30th), Babe Ruth Baseball begins at age 13.

 Softball is open to girls born 2004-2010.

Applications will be available on this website in the handout.  We will also have forms at registration.

Good Afternoon,

The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association is proud to announce the launch of their new website  www.lpyaa.net

 Information regarding upcoming seasons, registration & payment can all be done through the new website. Families create a user/profile and enter their children's information once. You can then register and pay online for subsequent seasons. Your profile will stay and registration/payment the following season will simply be a couple of clicks. Please feel free to provide feedback so se can make make improvements.
