Welcome to the LPYAA Website

Mission Statement:

  1) The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association exists to introduce, instruct and

    promote sustained participation in sports to the youth in Lake Placid and

    surrounding communities. They include (to date) soccer, hockey, basketball,

    volleyball, baseball & softball.

 

Statements of Purpose:

  1) To provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth in our community

      to participate in a variety of sports.

  2) To provide quality coaching which gives all participants the opportunity to

      learn and play.

  3) To promote, to the best of our ability, positive experiences for all children

       participating in our programs by supporting a "kids first, winning second"

      philosophy of competition.

The next LPYAA meeting will be Thurs. Sept. 17th at the Olympic Training Center on Old Military Road starting at 8 pm sharp.

Anyone who has business to bring before the membership must submit the nature of the business to the secretary for inclusion on the meeting agenda. This can be done by emailing Kim Clark. The deadline for agenda items is the second Thursday of each month. If business comes up that does not make the deadline it is either automatically put on the agenda for the following meeting or must be approved for discussion by 3/4 of the members present at the current meeting.

LPYAA HOCKEY REGISTRATION

The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association will be holding Hockey registration on Thursday, Aug. 27th and Thursday Sept. 10th at the Horse Show Office at the Town of North Elba Horse Show Grounds from 5:30-7:00pm. Completed paperwork and the registration fee will be needed before we process your application.

Please go to www.LPYAA.net and register online for the 2015-2016 hockey season.  Print out your paperwork and bring it to registration at the Horse Show office.  The handouts can be found on the LPYAA.net site or 2015-2016 hockey sign-up forms section on the LPYAA website, http://www.eteamz.com/LPYAA/ and print/fill out the forms before registration. Also, go to http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ and register your child. Print out the confirmation (number and bar-code) and bring with you to registration. (Registration instructions are on the main page and Hockey Information Page of the website)

If you wish to play for the LPYAA and played for another association last year please fill out the NYSAHA Player Release form in the hockey handouts section. We can't accept your application until you are released from your prior association.

Good Afternoon,

The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association is proud to announce the launch of their new website  www.lpyaa.net

 Information regarding upcoming seasons, registration & payment can all be done through the new website. Families create a user/profile and enter their children's information once. You can then register and pay online for subsequent seasons. Your profile will stay and registration/payment the following season will simply be a couple of clicks. Please feel free to provide feedback so se can make make improvements.

A few important dates for the upcoming season.

Play dates are for Kind.-6th graders only

Aug. 20-Online Registration should be available@ www.lpyaa.net  $10 for pre-k and $25 for Kind.-6th Grade.

Aug. 25-First night of practic: 1, 2 & 3 yr. old players, Tues. 5:30-6:00, PreK 4's, Tues & Thur 5:30-6:00.

Sept. 1-No practice for K-5-Open House at Elem. School Saturday,

September 12th-Lake Placid & Saranac Lake @ Keene Saturday,

September 19th-Play Day at Camp Dudley(Westport)

Saturday, September 26th-Play Day at Willsboro

Saturday, October 3rd-Play Day at Lake Placid

Saturday, October 10th-World Cup at Lake Placid

Saturday, October 17th-Lake Placid at Saranac Lake(night game for 3rd-6th graders only)

LPYAA HOCKEY REGISTRATION INFORMATION

All players must be registered by October 1st, 2015 with the exception of IP and Mite age players. At the IP and Mite levels enrollment will be allowed through Dec. 15th, 2015 in an effort to increase the numbers of players. Extenuating circumstances (such as, but not limited to, a family moving into town, an individual wishing to try playing hockey for the first time, etc.) may present itself in which case the Hockey Committee reserves the right to allow a registration after the above mentioned cut-off dates. Any player not registered by their respective cut-off date will be charged a $50 late registration fee.

Please fill out the following forms and bring them to registration.  The detailed instructions and fees are in the LPYAA Hockey Registration 2015-16 document.

1) LPYAA Player Commitment Form – MUST HAVE DATE & TIME SIGNED
2) USA Hockey Participant Code of Conduct (signed by the player)
3) Signature page of the LPYAA Parent Code of Conduct (1 per family)
4) USA Hockey Consent to treat/medical History form
5) Copy (not original) of player's birth certificate

 

Per NY State Rules: It is required that all players 8 and under and those players on a national bound team must supply a government issued birth certificate or passport identification page for each rostered player to the USA Hockey registrar for verification and affirmation prior to (or with) roster submittal.

~~ Hospital birth records, religious Baptismal records are not acceptable forms or proof ~~

MAIL the above completed forms along with your printed USA Hockey confirmation page(s) to the sign-up (you must register each player with USA Hockey before they can be registered with LPYAA).
