Welcome to the LPYAA Website
Mission Statement:
1) The Lake Placid Youth Athletic Association exists to introduce, instruct and
promote sustained participation in sports to the youth in Lake Placid and
surrounding communities. They include (to date) soccer, hockey, basketball,
volleyball, baseball & softball.
Statements of Purpose:
1) To provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth in our community
to participate in a variety of sports.
2) To provide quality coaching which gives all participants the opportunity to
learn and play.
3) To promote, to the best of our ability, positive experiences for all children
participating in our programs by supporting a "kids first, winning second"
philosophy of competition.

The next meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 16th, 2012 at the Olympic Training Center on Old Military Road starting at 8 pm sharp.

Anyone who has business to bring before the membership must submit the nature of the business to the secretary for inclusion on the meeting agenda. This can be done by emailing Kim Clark. The deadline for agenda items is the second Thursday of each month. If business comes up that does not make the deadline it is either automatically put on the agenda for the following meeting or must be approved for discussion by 3/4 of the members present at the current meeting.

IP/MITES/SQUIRTS PARENTS.
We are trying to track down the loaner
equipment from last year (or previous years) that was not returned. Could you please get in
touch with Dave Patterson, janpher@roadrunner.com Jen Reid, jreid70@roadrunner.com, or me (Kim Clark, kimclark.lpyaa@gmail.com)
if you have equipment. We need to arrange to have it turned in, as we
have new IP players this year that will need equipment. If you happen
to know of anyone that may have borrowed this equipment in the past
(2009-2010 season), and still has it, could you please let me know so I
can contact them.
