Dogfish News
Added May 27, 2009

As we all know the weather didn't quite cooperate (or did it), it was a still a good outing for the Dogfish. Although the outcome was not what we expected, the first Meet is now behind us and we can focus on the one's ahead. For a lot of you this was your first Meet, I hope that it was as exciting for you as it was for all of us(except for not being able to sleep in...right). Our next opponents are the Baytown Barracudas, This Meet will be an Indoors (Yeah A/C!).

No Canopies are needed, in fact you will want to have blankets and some type of padding for the little one's and maybe even extra towels for your swimmer(s).

A copy from each swimmers individual/relay team results will be posted in the "Handbook/Results"  tab located on the left side of the page. Track your childs progress with this information

See y'all there........

The Friday night Ice Cream social is this Friday and we will be having it at the Wave Pool.  Bring your swimsuits as we are not sure if the repairs will be complete or not.  A couple of other things I need to mention are.
All monies are due at that time and we are going to have a Parent meeting during the social at 6:30 pm.  I hope this is a good time as we are trying to accomodate people that can't be there at 5:30 and the ones that may need to leave earlier then 8.
Please don't forget to sign up for the Time Trials this week and May 14 (Thursday) is the last day to sign up for next week's meet.  The sign up logs will be at each pool tonight and Thursday.

ANNUAL END OF THE YEAR “BASH”
The DOGFISH primary social event of the year is the Annual Wave Pool Party. This event also serves as our annual general membership meeting to elect new board members. You will want to be sure to attend this event to be held at the La Porte Wave Pool, exclusively for the DOGFISH. The date will be announced in May (usually held the beginning of August). The kids (all ages) love this event and it has been a great success for the past several years. We feature a potluck dinner.
