Blackhawks take Second Place in Bowie Tournament

The Blackhawks took second place in the 2008 Freestate Spring Breakout Capitol Cup held the weekend of March 28th.  Competing in the Chesapeake Division, the Blackhawks compiled a record of 2-1 and outscored their opponents 5-1. 



Thursday, October 12
Blackhawks Win Dillsburg Tournament
The Blackhawks participated in the Dillsburg Dual Shootout over the Columbus Day weekend in Dillsburg Pa. Competing agsinst 26 other top teams from 5 states, the Blackhawks compiled a record of 6-0-1, outscored their opponents 12-1 and came away tournament champions.

Thursday, September 7
Gettysburg Battlefield Blast Tournament Results
The Blackhawks took 3rd place overall in the Gettysburg Battlefield Blast Tournament which took place the weekend of Aug. 26th and 27th. Competing against 24 other top teams from the Mid Atlantic region, the Blackhawks lost just one game, to the eventual champions, and compiled a record of 3-1-2.

Friday, July 7
The End of an Era - Coach Paul Bourdeau leaves the Blackhawks
After a hugely successful 6 year run, our beloved coach Paul Bourdeau will be leaving the Blackhawks. Coach Paul has accepted a new job that couldn't be refused and will be moving his family from the area. The Blackhawks compiled a record 169-73-25 under Coach Paul and earned numerous divisional and tournament titles. We will all miss Coach Paul and wish he and his family the very best.

Monday, October 17
Dillsburg Dual Shootout 2005 Tournament
The Blackhawks took 3rd place overall out of 16 teams in a rain shortened Dillsburg Dual Shootout over the Columbus Day weekend.

Friday, March 31
MSI March Madness Tournament
The Blackhawks took 4th place out of 24 teams in the MSI March Madness tournament.

Gettysburg Battlefield Blast Tournament 2005
The Blackhawks competed in the Gettysburg Battlefield Blast the weekend of August 27th and 28th.  Competing in the top division, the Blackhawks finished second overall. Visit the tournament website.  http://www.gysc.org

Blackhawks Advance to Final in The Virginian Tournament
The Blackhawks advanced to the Championship game in the U12 Premier Gold Division of the Virginian tournament over the Memorial Day weekend where they outplayed their opponent but lost 0-1 to the CSC Sidekicks. The Blackhawks played great soccer all weekend competing against top talented teams from MD, VA, NY, NJ and PA. They finished first in their flight with a record of 2-0-1 outscoring opponents 10-3. They then defeated SWYA Lions 1-0 in the semi final. For complete tournament results, click here.

Fall 2004 Season Wrap up
The Blackhawks just finished a very challenging season, their first as a Division 1 team in the NCSL. Playing against the very best teams in the Washington DC area, they compiled a record of 1-6-2. The team looks forward to indoor play during the winter months. The Blackhawks will be participating in the Nationl Indoor Tournament the weekend of Dec. 11th and 12th and will also participate in the indoor league of the new Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf Md.

Blackhawks win Dillsburg Tournament
The Blackhawks competed in the Dillsburg Dual Shootout over the Columbus Day weekend in Dillsburg Pa. Competing against 23 other top teams from the Mid-Atlantic area, the Blackhawks won first place in the top division. They compiled a record of 8-1-0 over two days and outscored opponents 23-2.

Blackhawks Advance to Division 1
The Blackhawks have recently been promoted by the NCSL and will advance to Division 1, the most challenging division in the NCSL structure, for the upcoming Fall season.   

Wednesday, June 2
Gettysburg Blue/Gray Cup Champs
The Blackhawks spent the Memorial Day weekend competing in the Gettysburg Blue Gray Cup. Placed in the Elite Divsion, the Blackhawks compiled an impressive record of 6-0-0, outscoring their opponents 20-2 en route to the tournament championship.

Blackhawks Win CSM Indoor Title
The Blackhawks concluded the indoor season at the College of Southern Maryland on Saturday, Feb. 28th. Competing in both the U10 and U12 divisions, the Blackhawks took the U10 title and were runner up in the U12 division.

Blackhawks Win Bay Soccer Cup Tournament
The Blackhawks particpated in the Bay Soccer Cup on Sunday Feb. 29th in Hampstead Md. Participating in the U-10 division the Blackhawks compiled a tournament record of 3-0 outscoring their opponents 31-0. Another fine team effort. Congratulations Blackhawks.

Blackhawks Take 2nd Place at the MSYSA/TIDE AMERICAN CUP
The Blackhawks participated in the MSYSA/Tide America Cup Tournament on Saturday, November 15th. Competing up an age bracket, in U12, the Blackhawks came in 2nd place. Congratulations again Blackhawks.

Blackhawks - NCSL Div 3 Champs
The Blackhawks completed the Fall 2003 season with a record of 7-2-0 and the NCSL U11 Division 3 Championship. Congratulations Blackhawks on another outstanding season. With the championship, the Blackhawks will move to Division 2 for the Spring 2004 season.

Dillsburg Tournament Champions
The Blackhawks earned another tournament championship over the Columbus Day weekend. The Blackhawks participated in the Dillsburg (PA) ShootOut against teams from all over the Mid Atlantic. The team compiled a record of 5-1-1 over the course of two days with the tournament championship being determined in a shootout after the championship game ended in a 0-0 tie. Congratulations Blackhawks!!

Tournament Champion Blackhawks
Over the Labor Day weekend, the Blackhawks participated in the FPYC (Fairfax Police Youth Club) Patriot Cup Tournament in Chantilly Virginia. Participating in the Champion Division the Blackhawks walked away as Tournament Champs. They compiled a tournament record of 3-0-1 and outscored their opponents 16-3. Congratulations Blackhawks.


Spring 2003 Wrap
The Blackhawks recently completed the Spring 2003 season (filled with countless rain interruptions) ending with a record of 6-1-2. Congratulations Blackhawk players and coaches.

Gettysburg Memorial Day Tournament

Blackhawks take CSM Indoor Title.
The Blackhawks captured the CSM Indoor title for the second consecutive season. Participating in the U-10 division the Blackhawks compiled a record of 8-0-1. Congratulations Blackhawks!

Blackhawks to participate in March Madness Tournament
The Blackhawks will be participating in the Montgomery Soccer Club (MSC) March Madness Premier Tournament to be held on March 29-30, 2003 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Germantown Maryland. Check out more details of the tournament at www.msisoccer.org

Blackhawks take 2nd Place in Dillsburg Tournament
The Blackhawks played impressive soccer over the Columbus Day weekend in the Dillsburg Dual Shootout Tournament, held in Dillsburg PA. Participating in the U10 division the Blackhawks cruised through the qualification round posting 3 consecutive wins 5-0, 8-0 and 1-0. This impresseive start gained them the number 2 seed in the 32 team field. The Blackhawks continued their inspired play into the Championship round and after 4 more games made it to the championship game. In the dead heat most of the game the Blackhawks eventually lost by a score of 1-0.

Blackhawks To Compete in Dillsburg Tournament
The Blackhawks will be competing in the Dillsburg Tournament Columbus Day Weekend, October 12th and 13th. Check the tournament website (by clicking on the title above) for more details. The qualification round of 3 20 minute games takes place early Saturday. Our game times are 9:15, 10:55 and 12:10.

Blackhawks Take CSM Indoor Title

Congratulations to the Blackhawks indoor team. The team recently wrapped up the title while posting an impressive 7-0 record. There will a trophy presentation immediately following the game on Sat. Feb 16th.

Blackhawks Advance to the Virginian Semi-Final Round
The Blackhawks advanced to the Semi-Final Round in the U9 Boys Premiere Blue division in The Virginian Tournament over the Memorial Day Weekend. The Blackhawks swept their first 3 games to clinch their Flight to advance to the semi-finals. There, they met the Annandale Tigers, and despite a late second half surged, lost 4-3. The Tigers advanced to the the Final which they won easily 5-0. Congratulation Blackhawks for job well done.

Blackhawks Take Division Title

The Blackhawks ended the Spring 2002 season with an impressive record of 8-0-1 taking the NCSL U9 Blue Division title. (even though no one is really counting!) Tied with the CSC Cyclones, the Blackhawks take the title by tie-breaker, allowing two fewer goals during the season than the Cyclones. Congrats Blackhawks for another fine season.
