The Livermore National Junior 90 A's bested the San Ramon Junior A's on a hot Sunday afternoon in San Ramon. Matt Bulver pitched three scoreless innings with nine strike outs and Austin Gomes closed the game striking out two batters with the bases loaded to end the game. James Moreland turned in a great game as catcher, putting out a runner between third and home and throwing out a runner attempting to steal third. Lyndon Moreland led the offense with an RBI single in the third. Jerrod Roberts contributed to the offense with an RBI single in the sixth.

Sunday, September 14, 2008: San Ramon Junior 2 Diamondbacks vs. Livermore National Junior 90 A's
The Livermore National Junior 90 A's beat the San Ramon Junior Diamondbacks last Sunday at Windemere. Offensive highlights included doubles by Chris DiPeso and James Moreland with several batters producing two or more RBIs by putting the ball into play. Defensively, Josh Taveras made two nice stretches at first, turning potential errors into outs. At second, Josh McCall threw out a runner trying to score from third. Gabriel Nunez made a nice stop at second, saving a single. Finally, Michael Brown pitched a solid two innings in his pitching debut.

Sunday, September 21, 2008: Livermore National Junior 90 A's vs. Livermore Junior 4 Cardinals
The A's stayed in the game but could not beat the Cardinals last Sunday at Livermore. James Moreland's lead-off double in the first was the offense highlight for the A's while pitchers Lyndon Moreland and Matt Bulver combined for eleven strike-outs.

Sunday, September 28: Livermore National Junior 90 A's vs San Ramon Junior 1 A's
Josh Taveras, Josh McCall, and Devin McMahon debued as pitchers for the Livermore National A's. Taveras had two strike-outs and a walk for his first outing ever as a pitcher. Josh McCall pitched two solid innings. Devin McMahon closed the last two innings allowing only a single walk. For the offense, Jerrod Roberts had an RBI sacrifice in the first inning and Josh McCall had an RBI single in the second inning.

Sunday, October 4: Livermore National Junior 90 A's vs San Ramon Junior 2 Diamondbacks
Reed Ozdinski celebrated his birthday last Sunday, smashing two doubles and a single to lead the A's offense against the D-backs. Cody Thompson contributed to the offense with a fifth inning triple. Michael Brown and Lyndon Moreland each hit two singles. James Moreland, Gabriel Nunes, and Reed Ozdinski all made there pitching debut for the A's. Pitching for the first time ever, Moreland hurled seven strikeouts in the first three innings. Nunez had two strikeouts and Ozdinksi had one strikeout in the next two innings. For the defense, catcher Michael Brown threw out a runner attempting to steal third in the second inning.

Sunday, October 11: Livermore National Junior 90 A's vs Livermore Junior 4 Cardinals
It was a hard day for our A's as they lost to the Cardinals. The highlight for the A's defense was shortstop Bryce Boulton who threw out a runner attempting to score in the third inning. Pitcher Matt Bulver hurled three scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Chris DiPeso had a hit against tough Cardinal pitching, beating out an infield grounder for a single in the first inning.

Sunday, October 18: San Ramon Junior 2 Diamondbacks vs Livermore National Junior 90 A's
The A's bats came to life against the Diamondbacks last Sunday. Bryce Boulton lead the A's offense against the Diamondbacks with a double, a single, and an RBI. Austin Gomes singled in the fifth and scored on Josh Taveras RBI double. Josh McCall had a first inning double. Lyndon Moreland pitched the last two innings, striking out the side each inning to close the game.

Sunday, October 26, 2008: San Ramon Junior 1 A's vs. Livermore National Junior 90 A's
The Livermore A's closed their season with an all-around well-played game. Cody Thompson and Michael Brown led the offense with RBI singles and Thompson had his second RBI on a sixth inning sacrifice. Reed Ozdinski and Jerrod Roberts added runs with heads-up base running. Chris DiPeso contributed to the offense with an RBI single in the six inning. At catcher, Brown and Roberts each saved several wild pitches. Brown also threw out a runner attempting to steal. Finally, DiPeso and Roberts pitched the last three innings, shutting out the A's.
