Our Mite and Tyke program here at LMHA is solely sponsored by Tim Hortons.  Their longtime commitment to our organization has enabled us to offer our 'Timbit' program at the lowest possible cost to you throughout the years.

Mites

For the 2009-2010 hockey season our Mite program will now consist of players  age 4 and younger.  Emphasis will be on basic skating and hockey skills necessary for our beginning players.  Most important skill to be taught will be "to always have fun".  All players will be assessed and assigned to teams according to their level of ability by the Convenor in consultation with the coaches.  Full equipment is mandatory.  Our mites play "full ice games".

Tykes

For the 2009-2010 season, our Tyke program will consist of both 5 and 6 year old players.  All players in this division will be placed on balanced house league teams, according to their assessment during the preseason ice times.  The tykes in LMHA play "full ice games".  At the parents discretion, children born in 2003 may also attend the Forest City Novice tryout sessions.

Mandatory Equipment

The London Minor Hockey Association requires that all players wear the following equipment; CHA approved hockey helmet with full facial cage or visor, neck guard, skates, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, shin pads, jock or jill, gloves, socks and jersey.
