Despite picking up their first loss of the season the St. Joseph’s Senior Boys rallied to win the Panthers-Falcons High School Basketball Tournament.
St. Joe’s started the tournament with a hard fought game with BCI. The Rams jumped out to at 12 point lead in the first quarter but the Panthers rallied in the second half for the 68-63 win. The Panthers then lost to Notre Dame. With only 7 players St. Joe’s started slow again and got behind 18-4. St. Joe’s got the games within 4 points at half but ran out of gas as Notre Dame pulled away to win by 64-52.
The loss left the Panthers in a must win scenario against cross town rival Cornwall Collegiate. In what was easily the best game of the tournament the two teams exchanged the lead several times in the game.
In the end, St. Joseph pulled in front and held on to win 61-56. In the Semi Finals the Panthers defeated the South Grenville Giants for the second time in a week with 30 point victory.
The Semi-Final win setup a rematch against Notre Dame. St. Joseph’s avenged their first loss of the season with a 74-35 win and the Tournament Championship. The Panthers led from the start and blew the game open with 14 3-point baskets in the first half. After sitting for 3 games with an injury Adam Delorme was the Championship Game MVP. Along with his 9 points, Delorme had 13 rebounds and 6 blocked shots.
Jordan McAllister led the Panthers in scoring through-out the tournament with more then 24 points a game over the five games. McAllister collected three game MVP awards including one for his 40 point performance against CCVS.
Kholin Rasenburg was the game MVP in the Panthers first game against Notre Dame. Rasenburg has 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks in the game.

Seniors Boys
St. Joseph back court combination of Jordan McAllister and Rick Parisien proved to the difference in the Panther's first league game of the season. McAllister scored 21 points and Parisien added 14 as SJSS defeated the Falcons 68-48.
Junior Boys
The Junior Panthers started the seaon with a 44-40 loss to Holy Trinty. The Falcons jumped out to a 21-12 first quarter lead and led for the rest of the game. Ben Rolley paced the Panthers with 17 points.
