Judges Criteria
- A well-rounded team that uses the talents of all its members.
- Team jumps: entire team, same jump simultaneously.
- Gymnastics: entire team, mixed skills simultaneously.
- Age appropriate dance moves.
- Props and creativity.
- Crowd involvement through use of cheer or chant.
- Basic arm and cheer teachniques.
- Safe routine.
- Clean routine that the team is obviously comfortable with and appear physically conditioned to execute.
- Judges scoring is based on this performance only and not on a repeated or former performance. Full points are awarded to teams that fulfill all criteria at a level of excellence.
JUDGES PHILOSOPHY
Progression guides are used by judges to allot points based on skill levels. The following gymnastic and stunt guides should be carefully noted.
Judges shall be approved by the Executive Board. Fair representation of cheer organizations and impartial judges is a LICCA objective.
