WARM UP PROCEDURE FOR LICCA COMPETITIONS

WARM UP PROCEDURE FOR LICCA COMPETITIONS

Warm-ups will be run to allow the judges to be able to see all of the stunts from your routine in order, isolated, with no music or other distractions.
***YOU WILL HAVE 6 MINUTES FOR WARM UPS***

1.  Coaches will have their stunts written down (short descriptions) in order, on the flip side of the tumbling/jumps sheet.  Hand it to the Safety Judge with your other paperwork, and have your athletes out on the mat--in position, ready to go through all stunts in order, one after the other.
2. You should have your music person ready from the time your team takes the mat, with your CD ready to play/replay after your stunt run through.

3. Go through all stunts, in "order of appearance".  (Run through) No stopping if they fall (unless of course someone gets hurt).  No "do-overs" during the run-through.  This should not take more than 2 minutes.
4. Safety judges will be annotating the sheet with the stunts written on them where they have concerns.  IF something is illegal, the Safety Judge will tell you about it, and it is up to you to either change it within your next 4 minutes, or take it out completely. If it is something that needs more time than that to re-do for safety reasons, the Safety Judge may make the decision to move you back in the competition.
5. This should leave approximately 4 minutes to run through your whole routine with music/do your tumbling runs/whatever you chose to do.

If you are concerned about any of your stunts, please send a video to Nancy at nvanhouten@optonline.net  so that we can confirm that they are legal ahead of time. This will leave you free to focus on "warming up" the routine, as opposed to worrying about what you might have to change.
