LICCA Competition Rules
1. Registration fee: $150 per team. Slot will be held on receipt of application for the first 12 entries. No Refunds. Teams that dropout after they register are not eligible for Finals.
2. A. Divisions: Large Varsity, 17-22 members, Medium Varsity 13 - 16 members, Small Varsity, 12 & under, JV, Youth Groups and Middle School (7, 8 and freshman), limit 22 to a team. A mascot on the mat is a team member. A team may have two male members. Competition Teams, may be comprised of JV and Varsity School teams (must compete on a Varisty level). Rookie Teams, schools new to LICCA with a first time coach, or a rookie team that did not qualify for finals the previous year (status should be approved by the Executive Board. A host school will accept 12 teams per division unless space does not allow.
B. 7th & 8th graders on Varsity: must pass the Selective Classification Program Test approved by section VIII and Section XI. Ask your Athletic Director for info.
3. *National Federation safety guidelines and Section VIII and XI rules. LICCA safety clinic is mandatory. You will not be eligible to compete if you are not present at one of of the clinics. LICCA has clarified and added interpretative information.
4. Props are limited to Poms, 3' x 2' signs, megaphones.
5. You may provide your own spotters. (2-3)
6. Routine time: 2 minutes 30 seconds maximum. Music may not exceed 1 1/2 minutes of this. There is an allowed three (3) second discrpancy for overall timing. Stunt routine is one minute with music.
7. Warm-ups: Order will be randomly selected at coaches meeting. 5 minutes allotted for each team for warm-up. Mats may be provided in surrounding areas for practice. Absolutely no stunting off the mat. Absolutely no separate tumbling time will be permitted.
8. Performance area: 40 x 40 mats, all parts of routines must be on mats.
9. There will be only three (3) people in front of the mat during a competition. No choreographers.
10. Trophies: 1st - 4th (dependent on the number of teams competing_ In case of a tie, both teams will receive a trophy for that position. Special awards such as dance and stunts may be given. In order to be eligible for Varsity County Finals, you must attend at least two (2) competitions, one (1) in each session and qualify in at least one (1). JV Finals, you must attend at least (2) competitions, (1) in each session and qualify in (2). Sportsmanship award will be given at finals.
11. Judging: Will be done by a board of 4-6 qualified judges, 1-3 will be a safety judges.
12. Admission: $5.00; under 5 years of age - free.
13. Roster: Handed to Safety judge at each competition. Must be LICCA roster form and must have an original signature from your athletic director - NO EXCEPTIONS. Teams without one are disqualified. Do not mail your roster with your registration form.
14. You may compete at your own competition.

Host schools for competitions donate $150.00. Those schools that lost money or broke even are exempt.
