Mission Statement

Long Island cheerleading has evolved into a serious sport requiring qualified, dedicated Cheerleading Coaches.  It is the Coach's responsibility to foster the promotion and enthusiasm necessary for cheerleading. Furthermore it is imperative that LICCA Coaches promote safety and good sportsmanship for their student athletes.

Meeting Location change:  Due to a concert tonight at Rocky Point HS parking might be a little difficult, the meeting will now be held in the Middle School Library.  The schools are adjacent to each other so please follow the signs for the LICCA meeting.

Just a few reminders: Welcome to the 2013-2014 Cheerleading Season.  The Executive Board is very excited, as this marks LICCA’s 20th year.  Your LICCA membership runs from May to May, and the 2012-13 season’s membership expires before the meeting.  The membership dues have been increased to $35 per coach this year.  Please remember, your dues MUST be paid prior to the May 22 Meeting in order to vote.   The competition calendar, Host School application (for hosting a competition), a LICCA Membership Application and all information from the March mailing can be found in the HANDOUT link to the left.  Please download the applications and return them to the proper people and addresses by the deadlines.  The Host Competition Application deadline is May 8.  The LICCA Board hopes to see everyone on May 22 for this very important meeting.

Wednesday, May 22 - Rocky Point HS

Directions:  LIE to exit 66 if you are eastbound and exit 67 if you are westbound.  North on Sills Rd.  Follow Sills Rd. to Mill Rd. and bear right.  At next light (Yaphank lake is on the left) bear left onto Middle Island-Yaphank Rd.  Cross over Rt. 25 (the name changes to Rocky Point-Yaphank Rd.)  the school is 4.5 miles on the left.   

***All meetings will begin promptly at 7:30pm.

LICCA

The Long Island Cheerleading Coaches Association was established in 1994. Meetings are held approximately 4 times a year. LICCA holds safety clinics in the fall, sets standards for LICCA sponsored competitions, and follows National Federation SPIRIT rulebook, AACCA and Section VIII and IX competition rules, and acts as a resource to public and private school coaches. All-Star and Scholarships are awarded to member schools.

LICCA is a Not For Profit Organization.
