The Varsity Boys' Lacrosse team comes up short and loses to Amador by a score of 16 - 6

 

In what has become an all to familiar pattern the Cowboys get way behind by the half. Against Amador they were down 11 - 4. Goals in the game were by Mac Morgan who had 4 while Nick Vickers and Sam Burnett each had a goal. Vickers had 2 assists while Scott Gragg and Burnett each had 1.  Sam Richardson had 8 saves.

 

Next up Undefeated Davis

 

The Cowboys lose to Amador by the score of 13 - 0

 

After getting behind early the Cowboys lost LSM Kyle Laront to a concussion, the game turned south and Livermore could not recover.  Devin Badger had 12 saves.

The Livermore Boys' Lacrosse team lose to De La Salle by the score of 21 - 6

 

Scoring for the Cowboys' were James Ellis who had 2 goals and single goals were scored by Clayton Frieders, Mac Morgan, Nick Vickers and Sam Burnett.  Ellis had 2 assists and Frieders had 1. Sam Richardson had 10 saves in the loss.

 

Next up Amador Valley

 

The Livermore Boys' J.V. team lose to De La Salle by the score of 6 - 2.

 

The Cowboys were down at the half by the score of 3 - 2 but could not muster any more goals and lost 6 - 2.

Aaron Untalan had both goals for the Cowboys.  Devin Badger had 12 saves.

Livermore Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team comes up empty in losing to San Ramon by the score of 16 - 2

 

Goals for Livermore were by James Ellis and Mac Morgan. Sam Richardson had 9 saves in the loss.

Livermore Boys' J.V. Lacrosse team lose to San Ramon by the score of 16 - 1

 

The lone Livermore goal was by Aaron Untalan.  Devin Badger had 8 saves.

Varsity Boys' Lacrosse team were beaten by Foothill by the score of 15 - 6

 

The Falcons took a 10 - 3 lead at the half and went on to beat Livermore 15 - 6. In the game Mac Morgan scored 4 goals, Ben Morgan and Clayton Frieders each had a goal. Mac had  2 assists while Nick Vickers and Garrett Gomes each had an assist in the loss.  Sam Richardson had 8 saves in the game.

Livermore J.V. Boys' Lacrosse team lose to Foothill by the score of 10 - 2

 

Goals in the game for the Cowboys were by Aaron Untalan and Jeff Beaulieu.  Devin Badger had 22 saves in the loss.

Livermore Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team comes out flat and loses to California by a score of 9 - 6 

Like the week before Livermore came out flat and was behind at the half by the score of 7 - 1. After a meeting at the half with Coach Cobb the Cowboys' had a good second half as they outscored the Grizzles 5 - 2. Clayton Frieders, Mac Morgan and James Ellis each had 2 goals a piece in the game. Scott Gragg had 3 assists while Morgan and Robert Nguyen had 1 each. Sam Richardson had 12 saves in the loss.
 
Next up Foothill

The Livermore Boys' J.V. team played an entertaining game as they were defeated by California 11 - 6
 
In a game that was closer than the score indicated the Cowboys played an uphill game and finished on a good note in the loss.  California had 12 penalties and 1 player ejected while Livermore had 3 penalties and played a clean game.  Aaron Untalan had 2 goals while Matt Brady, Alec Faught, Nick Vickers and Zachary Kopps had 1 goal each. Vickers and Brady each added an assist. Devin Badger stopped a season high 17 shots in the loss.
 
Next up Foothill


Reality sets in as the Mustangs from Monte Vista trample the Cowboys of Livermore by the score of 17 - 2
 
The Livermore Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team went up against the defending NCS champion Monte Vista Mustangs and were beaten by the score of 17 - 2.  The Cowboys played a good first quarter as they were only down 2 - 1 with the goal scored by James Ellis and assisted by Scott Gragg.  But the Mustangs reeled off 9 goals and put the game away at the half by the score of 11 - 2, the lone goal in the second quarter was by Mac Morgan.  In the second half Livermore was outscored 6 - 0.  Sam Richardson had 7 saves in the loss.
 
Next up California

The Boy's J.V. Lacrosse team was totally overwhelmed by Monte Vista and lost 14 - 0

Devin Badger had 11 saves in the loss.

Livermore Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team remains undefeated in non-conference schedule by downing Alhambra 17 - 6

The Cowboys Varsity team scored 7 goals in the first quarter and never looked back in beating the Bulldogs of Alhambra by the score of 17 - 6. Nick Vickers and Mac Morgan had 2 goals a piece in the first quarter, also chipping in with goals in the first were James Ellis, Clayton Frieders, and Sam Burnett.  Scott Gragg, Burnett and Morgan each had an assist.  Morgan had 2 more goals in the second quarter with Gragg providing the lone assist, giving Livermore a 9 - 4 advantage at the half.  In the second half Morgan had 2 more goals (6 total), Ellis had 2 more (3 total), Burnett had 2 (3 total), Vickers had 1 (3 total) and Gragg had 1.  This was the first time in school history that 4 players scored 3 or more goals in a game. Gragg had 2 assists which gave him 4 for the game. Sam Richardson had 5 saves in the first half and the defense totally shut down Alhambra in the second half as Richardson had no saves.  Next up EBAL starts with Monte Vista coming to Livermore.

The streak is over as the Boys' J.V. Lacrosse team gets its first win as they beat Alhambra 7 - 3

The J.V. team finally got its first win in quite a while when they defeated Alhambra 7 - 3.  The game was tied at the half 2 - 2 thanks to two goals by Zachary Kopps, Alec Faught had the lone assist.  In the second half Livermore outscored Alhambra 5 - 1.  Goals were by Bo Carter and Matt Vickers who each had 2 and Aaron Untalan had 1. Assists were by Vickers and Bruno McLeod.  Great Defense was played by Nigel Pilkington, Mitchell Licata, Blake Sweet, Bill Klinkatsis, Brice Moerbeck, Nickolas Fliehr, Trevor Davidson and Goalie Devin Badger who had 9 saves in the win.  Next up EBAL starts as Livermore will face Monte Vista.


 Livermore Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team sweeps the week by beating College Park and Sir Francis Drake to remain undefeated

The Cowboys started slow against College Park falling behind at the half by a score of 6 - 3. Goals in the half were scored by Sam Burnett, Mac Morgan and Scott Gragg. Gragg and Nick Vickers each added an assist.  In the third quarter Livermore exploded for 7 goals with Gragg adding 3 (4 total) and 2 each by James Ellis and Morgan (3 total). Gragg added 2 assists while Vickers, Morgan and Clayton Frieders each had 1 assist. The Cowboys finished their comeback with 3 goals in the 4th quarter, Ellis had 2 (4 total) and Burnett got his second goal of the game to finish off College Park 13 - 8.  Gragg had 2 more assists in the quarter to give him a game total of 5 and Burnett had the other assist. Sam Richardson had 10 saves in the victory.  Great comeback win for Livermore. Next up Sir Francis Drake…

Livermore Boys' J.V. team did not give up but fell to Dougherty Valley 14 - 5

As it has been so far this season for the Cowboys they would get down at the half and play good ball in the second half. Down 9 - 1 at the half (Bo Carter from Matt Vickers for the loan goal and assist) the Cowboys played D.V. even the rest of the way being outscored 5 - 4.  Aaron Untalan had 2 goals with Vickers and Matt Brady getting 1 each.  Assists were by Vickers and Carter.  Devin Badger in his second game had 15 more saves in the loss. Cowboys Varsity Boys' Lacrosse team plays their best game so far this year in shutting out Sir Francis Drake 11 - 0

Livermore, waiting until 4 minutes were left in the first quarter, reeled off 8 consecutive goals and lead at half time 8 - 0. Goals were scored by James Ellis (2), Mac Morgan (2), Sam Burnett (2), Scott Gragg, and Clayton Frieders. Gragg added 3 assists while Frieders and Burnett had 1 each. In the second half many players were brought in to the game for some playing time. The final 3 goals were by Ellis (3 total), Morgan (3 total) and Gragg (2 total). Frieders had the lone assist. Sam Richardson had 7 saves in the shut out win.  The defense was lead by Taylor Disbrow, Brandon Hall, Michael Fischer, Sam Ogee and Joe Munns. LSM's Ryan Viano and Tom Lovett. Defensive middies, Andre Flores, Diego Brumbila and Ranbir Kahlon.  Next up Alhambra…

Livermore J.V. Boys' Lacrosse team comes up short and falls to Drake 10 - 8

For the first time this season the J.V. team lead at the half by a score of 6 - 5. Goals were by Zachary Kopps who scored the first 3 in a row, Aaron Untalan added 2 goals and Matt Vickers had the other goal. Jeff Gellerman, Vickers and Kopps each had an assist. The short handed Cowboys let it get away in the 3rd quarter as Drake scored 5 goals. The Cowboys tried to mount a comeback by scoring 2 goals with less than a minute left in the game (Kopps and Vickers had the goals) but they could not rally and lost 10 - 8.  Devin Badger had 5 saves.  Next up Alhambra…


Varsity makes it two in a row as they defeat the Broncos of Northgate by a score of 12 - 4

The Livermore Varsity Boys' lacrosse team won their second in a row Tuesday by a score of 12 - 4. The Cowboys had the lead after the first quarter thanks to unassisted goals by Sam Burnett and Scott Gragg. Livermore extended the lead to 6-3 going in to half time with scores in the quarter by James Ellis, Ben Morgan, Clayton Frieders and Mac Morgan. Gragg chipped in with 3 assists. The Cowboys put the game away with 4 goals in the 3rd quarter.  Ellis scored 2 (which gave him 3 in the game) followed by Nick Vickers and Mac Morgan. Gragg had 2 assists to give him 5 in the game. In the 4th quarter Mac Morgan’s 3rd goal and Vickers 2nd completed the scoring and Livermore topped Northgate 12 - 4. Good Defense was played by Taylor Disbrow, Brandon Hall, Michael Fischer, Ryan Viano and Tom Lovetts.  Sam Richardson had 8 saves in the win. Next up for the Cowboys is a home game against College Park.

Livermore J.V. Boy's Lacrosse team plays a spirited game and come up on the down side losing 10 - 4 to Northgate

This was the first game for the J.V. team and the rust showed as they fell behind at the half by a score of 7-1 with the lone goal scored by Aaron Untalan. The second half was a different story as the Cowboys finally came to play. The Cowboys held Northgate to 3 goals in the second half the Cowboys scored 3 of their own. Bruno McLeod, Jeff Gellerman and Untalan's second goal of the game gave hope that this might be an interesting year for the Cowboys. Devin Bager playing his first time ever in goal had 15 save and played a great game in stopping many point blank shots by Northgate. Next up for the Cowboys J.V. squad is a home game against Dougherty Valley. 


Varsity Defeats St.Mary's of Stockton 12-8

The Livermore High varsity squad hung on to defeat the Rams of St. Mary's by a score of 12 to 8 thanks to 6 goals by midfielder Mac Morgan.
 
In the first half it looked like the Cowboys might run away with the game as they took a commanding 7-2 lead into the locker room. In the first half Livermore's Mac Morgan had 4 goals while Clayton Frieders chipped in with 2 and James Ellis added a solo goal to complete the scoring.  Scott Gragg collected 4 assists and Sam Burnett and Ellis each added one in a strong first half.
 
In the 3rd period the Cowboys added to their lead with a goal and an assist by Morgan and a solo goal by Gragg that gave the Cowboys a 9-3 lead going into the 4th.
 
In the 4th the Rams offense came to life scoring 5 goals and pushing the score as close as 10-8 at one point but the Cowboys responded with solo goals by Morgan (his 6th),  Frieders (his 3rd), and Burnett to outlast a tough Rams squad.  Scott Gragg collected 7 assists while goalie Sam Richardson had 4 saves in the victory.
 
This is going to be a tough year as the Cowboys are very young and will have to work harder if they want to compete in the always tough EBAL.
