The LaGrange High School Baseball Team has won the 2004 State AAA Championship. We are extremely proud of the excellent coaching. as well as, dedication, and hard work of the players.
The Blue Sox Board members and parents of the players are excited about moving forward with a fund-rasing project that will provide our current and future baseball players with a much improved baseball complex. The improvements will increase Granger Park Baseball Complex's ability to host baseball tournaments, improve the condition under which our players play, improve the quality of the experience for the fans, and decrease games lost to poor field conditions. These improvements should help make the Granger Park Baseball Complex one of the best facilities in the region.
The plan includes three seprate phases for improving our baseball complex. The first phase involves the construction of a permanent concession stand and locker room for the Granger Baseball Players. In the second phase, plans are to purchase a tarpaulin and a reconditioned John Deere field "conditioner", which is a machine that would be used to drag and maintain the infield. Phase three is to include attaching a press box for filming, announcing, and keeping score during games, as well as, building a metal cover over the stands to provide protection for spectators for the sun and rain. Each phase of this project will be completed when the money for the phase is received.
Our current focus is phase one. We anticipate each phase to cost approximately $10,000 with the baseball players' parents completing as much of the work as possible. Both monetary and in-kind contributions are being sought.
Your support of our fund-raiser is greatly appreciated and the completion of all phases of our project will make a difference in the lives of all the baseball players who participate in the Grangers Baseball Program now and in the future, as well as, the parents and spectators who support them.
