I hereby pledge support, care and encouragement for my child participating in Lake Elsinore Girls Softball by following this parent/player Code of Ethics.  By signing below, the entire family is committed to the following:

PARENTS
I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other L.E.G.S. sports event.  I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child and all other children who play in L.E.G.S. ahead of my personal desire to win.  I will ensure that my child plays in a safe and healthy invironment. I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.  I will remember that the game is for the youths -- not the adults.  I will do my very best to make softball fun for my child.  I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.  I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can such as being a respectful fan, assisting with coaching, supporting fundraisers, helping at the snack bar or providing transportation.

PLAYERS
As a team member, I will deomonstrate good sportsmanship with other players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other L.E.G.S. sports event.  I will treat other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.  I will do my best and work hard at every game and practice.  I will do my best to learn and follow the rules of the game.  I will remember that I play softball to have fun and because I enjoy playing the game of softball.
