Registration for Winter Soccer

Registration Dates & Locations:

Saturday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the fields at 6^th & Coal Streets POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

Thursday, October 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Lehighton Rec Center

Saturday, October 31from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the fields at 6^th & Coal Streets

 Other Information

The Winter season consists of weekly games with no practices.  The season will begin on Saturday, January 9, 2010 and will end on Saturday, February 27.  Games will be held at the Lehighton Rec Center in the morning and early afternoon and times will be announced in December.  Weekly sessions will be held on Saturdays with the exception of January 30 and February 6.  Because the Rec Center has been previously booked for other events on these days, games will instead be held in the afternoon on Sunday, January 31 and Sunday,

February 7.

All players from U-4 through U-15 divisions are eligible to register.  The cost is $20 for players previously registered with LASC during the 2009 Fall season. Players from other local clubs are also welcome to register.   The cost for new players is $25.

Monthly Meeting

The LASC monthly meeting will be on Thursday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lehighton Rec Center immediately following registration.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Please consider joining us. Your thoughts, opinions and help are important to us.

See the files below for the U-6 and U-8 schedules.  Please know that these schedules are subject to change as games are rescheduled due to inclement weather or coaches' scheduling conflicts.  Your child's coach will inform you of all changes; the website will not be updated to reflect future schedule changes. 

The Lehighton School District and the Borough of Lehighton allow us the privilege of using their fields.  All LASC practices and games are held on smoke free properties, and therefore, smoking on any of the fields that the Club is using is prohibited. 

Please be aware that the Borough passed an ordinance in 2008 that prohibits smoking on any Borough property.  The fields at 6th & Coal Streets as well as the sidewalks around the field are Borough property.  We have been told that the Borough police will enforce this and violators are subject to fines.

Congratualations to Meredith Sellix and Ben Millen, the 2009 Hunter Meckes Scholarship recipients.  These 2009 Lehighton High School graduates started their soccer careers with the Lehighton Area Soccer Club and both went on to be 4 year members of the high school soccer teams. 

Each recipient received a $500 scholarship toward their college tuition. Meredith will be attending Elmira College in the fall and Ben will be attending Temple University.  We wish Meredith & Ben well in their studies!

Funding for the Hunter Meckes Scholarship is provided by proceeds from the annual Hunter Meckes Memorial Soccer Tournament and the Lehighton Area Soccer Club.

The scholarships were presented to Meredith and Ben by Hunter's mom, Sherry, and his brother, Shane, at the Lehighton High School awards ceremony.
