Indiana Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program 2009 Sessions
ODP Stars Program 2009

This fall there will be 50 opportunities for children between the ages of 8-14 to attend "mini" clinics on college and high school campuses plus receive free admission.

Indiana Youth Soccer and colleges/universities and high schools throughout the state of Indiana will be working together to provide this opportunity for players ages 8-14 (Not in high school) years of age. Players must be at least 8 years of age to participate.

This program is open to any child age 8-14 (Not in high school). These skill sessions will take place at participating college campuses throughout the state of Indiana. Each college/university or high school soccer program that is participating will select 2-4 days/nights for players to come and work on a different skill each time either before or after one of their matches. The four skills that will be the focus are:
  1. Dribbling
  2. Juggling
  3. Receiving
  4. Passing
These skills day/nights will be either conducted by the college/high school program's coaching staff or a member of Indiana Youth Soccer's ODP or coaching education staff. These clinics are approximately 45 minutes in length with the sole purpose of teaching players how to get better at the four skills above at home.

The purpose of this program are the following:
  1. To promote individual skill development for players 8-14 (not in high school) years of age.
  2. To encourage players to practice on their own. The coaches will focus on how you can develop in each of these four skills at home.To promote college and university soccer programs throughout the state of Indiana.
  3. It is important that players see soccer at a higher level.
Players that attend all four sessions will receive an award and be acknowledged at Indiana Youth Soccer's AGM.
Players must pre-register via the website under ODP at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled date.
