Brothers and Ladies -
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our new council website. We all know that good, clear communication is one of most important aspects for any organization of volunteers to be successful. This website is just one more component, along with our Marketing Committee, to help us share the information we need effectively and efficiently with our Parish and our Council.
Our goal for this site is to be a central communication point providing:
- a calendar of events and meetings
- directions to frequent locations for our activities
- an electronic library of key documents
- a vehicle to help share our programs and achievements with our Parish and Council community
- a place to go when you need to catch up on what's happening
We will continue to leverage emails and our newsletter to "push" information out to you when we need to do so. The website will be the source where you can "pull" information when you want it.
Our Webmaster, Ron Ramhap, has created the site leveraging the Eteamz services. Eteamz is primarily oriented toward sports teams however, our St. John Boy Scouts and many other types of groups have used Eteamz very successfully. Eteamz offers a hosting service with a good suite of easy-to-use tools and reasonable price. The tools make it easy for us to keep the site up to date. We plan to quickly equip our Officers to be able to maintain the information for which they are responsible. Look for some training coming soon.
