The 2011 Storm has an exciting schedule in store for its teams. We have many new talented players and have added new coaches who bring experience to an already talented staff. The returning players have worked hard in the off season to improve strength, speed, knowledge and skills. The Storm plans on travel to Tennessee, and Ohio along with facing the challenges provided by the Best Kentucky has to offer.
Storm Fastpitch was founded in 2008 through the inspiration of several High School Fastpitch programs in Lexington and Richmond, Kentucky who wished to prepare Middle School aged girls for the Competitive Edge needed to play at the High School Level.
The Storm has enjoyed remarkable success in its first three seasons. Storm players are found in Key Positions with their prospective High School programs across Kentucky. The Storm's impact has been nothing short of remarkable and will continue to add new teams in 2011 and assist new programs as they begin the quest for advanced training and play.
"Players wishing to take their game to the next level, obtain increased exposure to the highest levels of the game of fastpitch softball and demonstrate a committment to excellence through dedication, sportmanship and hard work are the foundation of Storm Fastpitch."

| Coach David Lowery and Daughter Callie |
Storm Fastpitch Inc. lost one of its greatest supporters on January 4th, 2010. David Lowery, 12U Storm Coach and longtime friend passed away following a short illness. David's passing came as a shock and words can hardly express the feelings of loss we all share. Coach Lowery was an integral part of SFI and was there at the beginning. He was a tremendous advocate of women's fast pitch softball in the Central Kentucky area for over a dozen years. He served as a Board Member and Coach of Richmond Girl's Softball for many years. He has coached several Elite Travel teams during that period, including multiple State Champions, preceeding his tenure with Storm Fastpitch. He was an active and influential member of Waco Baptist Church and deeply involved in the youth mentoring programs. He touched the lives of countless people in both his professional and private life.
He will be forever missed........
