USSSA 11U World Series

Congratulations to the 98 Team on runners up at the USSSA 11U World Series in Akron, Ohio.  Klash went 3-0 in pool play.  In bracket play, they came out of the losers bracket to face the Birmingham Mustangs.  In the championship game, they lost by a score of 4-1.

A great finish in this national tournament and season for the 98 team.  Well done!!!

12U Blue Team wins in Jackson

The Klash 96 Blue team won the 12U division of the Queen of Diamonds NSA tournament over the October 6-7 weekend in Jackson, MI.  Klash went 3 - 1 in pool play on Saturday. 

In bracket play on Sunday, Klash defeated the Oakland Cobras to get to the finals.  In the championship game, Klash defeated Compuware 5 - 3.  Congratulations to the players and coaches.  Well Done!

16U Take 2nd Place at ASA Nationals

Our 16U team finished runner up at the 16U B ASA Northern Nationals over the August 1-5 weekend in Owensboro, Kentucky.  Klash went 2- 0 in pool play and 5 - 2 in bracket play.  In the championship game, Klash was defeated 2-0 by the Kimberly Cardinals (WI).  26 teams entered the tournament from six states.

 Congratulations to the players and to Coach Doug Gibbs and Coach Laura Kuhlman on a great season.

ASA State Tournament Results
Congratulations to all of our teams this past weekend in Mt. Pleasant.

Our 16U team finished 1st out of 9 teams in the 16U B Division. Klash went undefeated. In the championship game, Klash defeated the MBS Jets 5 - 2. Klash earns a berth to the ASA Northern Nationals in Kentucky in early August.

Our 10U Blue team finished 1st out of 7 teams in the 10U A Division. Klash went 1 - 1 in pool play and 4 - 0 in bracket play. In the championship game, Klash defeated Ann Arbor Gold 9 - 1. Klash earns a berth to the USA/ASA Nationals in Auburn, Alabama in late July.

Our 14U White team finished 6th out of 10 teams in the 14U A Division. Klash went 1 - 1 in pool play and 2 - 2 in bracket play. Klash earns a berth to the ASA Northern Nationals in Bloomington, Indiana.

Klash 18U are Fury Champs
Our 18U team won the Warren Fury Tournament over the June 22-24 weekend. Klash went 5 - 0 overall and defeated the Madness team by a score of 5 - 0 in the Championship game. Congratulations to Coach Alicia and all the player and parents!

Monday, June 25
NSA State Tournament Results
Three of our teams finished high in their respective divisions at the NSA State Tournament in Eaton Rapids over the June 22-24 weekend.

Our 12U Blue team was defeated by the Oakland Sidewinders in the championship game by a score of 3 - 0.

Our 10U White team finished in 3rd place out of 9 teams.

Our 10U Blue team defeated the Adrian Lookouts in the championship game by a score of 6 - 3.

Congratulations to all three teams on a job well done!

10U ASA National Qualifier Results
Naperville Diamonds Gold defeated our 10U Blue team in the championship game of the ASA National Qualifier in Lawton, MI over the June 9-10 weekend.

In pool play, Klash Blue defeated Orland Park Sparks and lost to Naperville.

In bracket play, Klash Blue defeated Klash White, lost to Diamonds and defeated the Sparks to make it to the championship game.

Naperville earned the berth to USA/ASA Nationals.

4. Klash White
5. Harris Heat Red


Tuesday, June 5
14U White Takes the Preseason Classic in Toledo
Coach John Stuedemann's 14U White Team won the PreSeason Classic Tournament over the June 2-3 weekend. A large field of 16 teams from Ohio and Michigan competed. The top four teams coming out of pool play were Compuware, Ohio Wizards, Ohio Xtreme and Klash. In the finals, Klash defeated the Ohio Wizards 4 - 2. Congratulations to the players and coaches.

12U Blue Wins in Kentucky
The Kalamazoo Klash 12U Blue Team and their families chartered a bus from Kalamazoo to Hebron, Kentucky where they went undefeated and won the championship Memorial weekend at the Bustos Blast Classic.

The team played seven games against teams from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The Klash players were presented with the team plaque and individual awards by two time USA Olympic gold medalist, Crystal Bustos.


Sunday, May 27
10U Blue takes 2nd Place in Portage
At the Hurricanes Memorial Tournament, our 10U Blue team went 2 - 1 in pool play on
Saturday. Klash lost to Torco 5 - 1, defeated Hurricanes 6 - 4 and defeated GR Elite 13 - 3.

On Sunday, Klash defeated the Hurricanes in the semifinals. In the championship, Klash lost to Torco 3 - 2. Great pitching and defense from both sides made this a nail biter to the end. Congratulation to the coaches and players.

10U Blue Team wins in Illinois
Our 10U Blue Team went 4 - 2 over the May 19-20 weekend to win the 10U Championship at the Schaumburg Slugfest in Schaumburg, Illinois. After going 1 - 1 in pool play and losing the first elimination game, Klash rattled off three wins to take the 10U B Division and earn a direct berth to the NSA B World Series. Congratulation to all the players and coaches. Well done!

10U White takes 2nd Place in Eaton Rapids
Our 10U White Team placed 2nd at the Greyhound Classic NSA Tournament in Eaton Rapids over the May 19-20 weekend. Klash lost to the Adrian Lookouts in the championship game.

10U White takes 2nd Place in Galesburg
Coach Swinehart's 10U White Team finished in 2nd place at the Motion Maddness USSSA Tournament in Galesburg over the May 12 - 13 weekend. Klash lost to the Tecumseh Tomahawks in the finals. Congratulations to all the players.
