T-Ball (5-6)
Tee Ball Baseball and Softball is for boys and girls 5-6 years old (with an option for 7- and/or 8-yearolds) who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct youngsters in the fundamentals of baseball and allow them to experience the value of teamwork -- but most of all, to have fun. This is a non-competitive league where players hit off a batting Tee. Scores are not officially recorded. Major The Majors consists of experienced 9-12 year old players participating in a highly skilled division. Managers stress sound fundamentals in all aspects of the game. Players are drafted onto teams after participating in tryouts. Minors (9-11) This division provides these players an opportunity to expand their skills by incorporating more advanced parts of the game. Players are drafted onto teams after participating in tryouts. Midgets (7-8) All 7 year old players and some 8 year olds will be assigned to this division, in which pitching is introduced. This division will place great emphasis on the players' understanding their positions and the basic rules of baseball. Players are assigned to teams by the Player Agent. |
