Mercy Academy head coach Todd Garvey and his sister, the Jaguars' setter, Casey Garvey have been honored recently by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Casey was named to the Under Armour High School All-America First-Team, one of 24 players in the country given that distinction. Todd has been named one of two AVCA National High School Coaches of the Year, along with Tom Turco of Massachusetts. Both Casey and Todd will participate for TEAM BLACK in the inaugural Under Armour All-America High School Volleyball Match, December 21, at Qwest Arena in Omaha, Neb.
