KVCA Clinics:  First KVCA Clinic is coming up July 26 at Greenwood High School in Bowling Green!  On-site registration will be accepted.  If you can't make the clinic in Greenwood, August 9 in Murray is your second opportunity!

Preseason Top 25 Poll: Vote for the Preseason KVCA High School Volleyball Top 25 Coaches Poll!  Download the ballot under KVCA Forms/Ballots, and send your picks to Steve Howard at owbvb@hotmail.com.  Ballots must be turned in NO LATER THAN next Friday, July 25.

Preseason Watch List: The KVCA is compiling a Preseason Watch List, which will be used to assist in selection of the KVCA All-State Team in October.  Please send Mitzy (mitzmsu@aol.com) a list of players on your team and in your region who have talent, leadership qualities, strong work ethic, etc.

Bluegrass State Games: Remember, according to the Bluegrass State Games Web site, the "KHSAA has previously ruled that volleyball is not subject to the scrimmage limitations and coaching restrictions" during the Games.  The High School Division of volleyball of the Bluegrass State Games is being played Friday-Sunday, August 1-3, 2008. Visit their newly designed Web site, www.bgsg.org for more information.

Discount on Team Highlight Videos: First String Media, a video production company based in Lexington, is a KVCA Corporate Partner.  FSM specializes in high quality, entertaining highlight videos of teams, as well as individuals, and can produce a recruiting tape for an unsigned or uncommitted player wanting to play at the next level.  All KVCA members will receive a product discount on First String purchases by using the product discount code KVCA.  Visit www.firststringmedia.com to see product demos and available packages.

Free Volleyballs:  The Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) donated all of the volleyballs from their national championship tournament to the KVCA.  Their only wish is that we distribute them to high schools or middle schools that are starting volleyball teams.
There are about 50 regular-weight balls and about 12 volley-lite balls for elementary school level teams.  If you know of anyone starting up a high school, middle school or elementary school team simply have them e-mail Mitzy (mitzmsu@aol.com) and we will find away to get them the balls.

If you have not turned in your membership form for 2008, download the form from KVCA Forms/Ballots on the left and get signed up today!  Encourage others in your region to sign up as well!

Hope try outs are going well for all of you!  Looking forward to another exciting season of high school volleyball in Kentucky!  Please e-mail me with any questions or comments, mitzmsu@aol.com.

Respectfully,

Mitzy Donhoff
KVCA President
