Dancing with Wolves'
Big is not always the best. As the smallest school in the PCL KK has produced five MVP pitchers and 2 position players in the last eight years. Vicky Gross 1993, Kim Summerill 1995, Talia Bilella 1996, 2000 Nicole D'Annunzio and 2004 Michelle Bauer,2nd Base, Alyssa Neilson,P 2005 and Jenna D'Annunzio,1B. Always a playoff contender KK won the 05 regular PCL Northern Division title with a 10-2 record. The Wolves' were co champs in 2004 with Conwell Egan. KK reaches out during the season to play top notch teams from the PIAA such as N.Penn, Coatesville, Villa Maria, Garnet Valley, Germantown Academy, Penn Charter and its neighbor to the west Norristown High. In 2002 the Ultmate, KK won the PCL Championship for the first time in its short history. In a dramatic game KK edged Conwell Egan 1-0. KK competes in the Norristown Tournament annually along with Upper Merion, Mount St. Joseph and Norristown. KK won the tournament in 2001 and 2002. The Wolves' were not content to win one Tournament championship so they traveled to PW and won the PW tournament as they defeated PW 14-1 in the title game in 2001 and repeated as Champs in 2002 and 2007. KK's JV program is not measured in wins or losses. The concept at the JV level is to prepare the players for varsity competition during the season and if ready to move them to varsity. JV's that show potential are moved to varsity level during the year. The JV team is always competitive in league competition and tournaments. In the 2006 season they won the NAHS Eagle tournament They will compete in the Ryan Tournament and are coached by John Bojazi. With many underclassman starters, incoming freshman and JV players returning the future looks very bright for the Lady Wolves' of Kennedy Kenrick Catholic.
