In 1990, the Kingston Field Hockey program started out with a Junior Varsity and a Modified team. In 1992 the teams were moved up to Junior Varsity and Varsity with no Modified program in place. In 1996 Coach Eaton started the first Modified team consisting of 17 players. The following year there were 25 girls and ever since our Modified program has at least 24 girls on its roster with the exception of the 2002 season (austerity budget - no modified teams)

In 1994, the Varsity won its first Section IX championship and continued to be Section IX champs until Fall 2005. Kingston fell to Pine Bush after playing 60 minutes of regulation play, 2 ten minute overtimes and finally penalty strokes. In 1999, Kingston Field Hockey made history by defeating Centerreach High School (section IV) to advance to the state semifinals at P&C Stadium in Syracuse, NY. Kingston lost its semifinal game to Sweet Home (Section VI); the score was a heart breaking 1-0 loss. Kingston's goal is to get back to Regional play.  In 2007, Kingston Field Hockey made history by defeating Pine Plains High School in double OT with a goal off of a penalty corner winning the MHAL Championship crown with a score of 1-0.  In 2007, Kingston also took back the Section IX Championship in OT with a goal beating Pine Bush 1-0.

Programs that have added to the success of Kingston Field Hockey are the summer and winter indoor hockey leagues and a 'Mini' camp offered to girls in grades 4-8. The indoor league involves players participating in tournaments and also hosting our own tournament at the field house. The summer and indoor league depends on coaches and parents volunteering their time so that all of our players have an opportunity to participate in off season play.

On behalf of Coach Mills, Coach Burns, and Coach Eaton, we would like to thank all of our dedicated parents and fans for your continued support.
