Latest Freeze news!

The Freeze Christmas Party was last Saturday!!  A heartfelt thanks to Cathi and Kevin for graciously hosting the wonderful party!  Everyone had a great time and we can easily say that it was a very nice opening for the Holiday Season!!  Merry Christmas to all!  :) 

We join the coaches in welcoming Andi Davis to the Freeze 16!!  Andi has had a very successful Fast pitch career already having been the starting 2nd Baseman and Leadoff hitter with the Blue Springs Ice for the last 11 years.  We are very pleased to have her join our team and look forward to an exciting 09/10 Season!  Did I say very pleased?  I meant VERY, VERY PLEASED!

You've done a fine job this year and had lots of fun!  87 Games in the books!  71 Wins!  438 points scored!  32 Shutouts this year!  3 Shutouts in the World Series!  4 team members selected to the  "All World Team", provided both the "Offensive" and "Defensive" Tournament MVPs, and the 1st Place Finish in the World Series!  Afterwhich being selected as the "2009 USSSA 16A Team of the Year"!  You can be as proud of yourselves as your coaches and folks are!  You are indeed a very special group of girls and its been a great privilege to get to know each of you!

With High School ball having come to an end we would like to congratulate everyone on a fine season!  The Freeze 16 girls were real assets to each of their High School Teams!!

We would like to congratulate ANDI DAVIS (SS) for earning spots on the "ALL REGION, 1ST TEAM", "ALL DISTRICT TEAM, 1ST TEAM", AND the "ALL CONFERENCE TEAM, 1ST TEAM".  Andi also broke 2 O'Hara records!  She captured the record for "Most Hits" in one year with 53!!  The second record, "Highest Batting Ave" was an Outstanding .609!!!  WTG Andi!! 

We would like to congratulate KELLIE BACHKORA (3RD), for earning spots on the "ALL CONFERENCE, 1ST TEAM" AND the "ALL DISTRICT TEAM, 2ND TEAM"!!  WTG Kellie!!

We would like to congratulate KENNEDY MERRELL (C), for earning  spots on the "ALL DISTRICT 13 TEAM" AND the "HONORABLE MENTION "BIG 7 ALL CONFERENCE TEAM"!  WTG Kennedy!!

We would like to congratulate JORDAN BRADSHAW (SS/3B), for earning  a spot  on the "ALL DISTRICT 13 TEAM"!  WTG Jordan!!

We would like to congratulate ASHLEY SCHMIDT (P), for earning  a spot  on the 1st Team "ALL DISTRICT 13 TEAM", 2nd Team "ALL CONFERENCE", and for being selected the Ray Pec "TEAM MVP"!  WTG Ashley!!

We would like to congratulate MACKENZIE BRADLEY (LF) for successfully moving from her regular position of 2B with the Freeze to LF for the Broncos and then earning spots on the  "BIG 7 ALL CONFERENCE TEAM"! AND "HONORABLE MENTION for the "ALL DISTRICT 13 TEAM"!  WTG Mackenzie!!

We would like to congratulate RACHEL MCKINZIE (2B) for successfully moving from her regular position of LF with the Freeze to 2B for the Panthers and then making HONORABLE MENTION for "ALL DISTRICT 13 TEAM"!  WTG  Rachel!!

We would like to congratulate SYDNIE MEIER (P) and KELSI O'NEILL (C) for contributing to their High School Team's great success! Despite having many upper classman that got the majority of playing time they proved to be invaluable assets to their teams and will, in the future, prove that these great teams will "Reload" not "Rebuild"!  WTG  Sydnie and Kelsi!!

So, as Coach Kevin said, as we spread out and go our different ways continue to work hard and keep in touch with each other!  Good luck to those playing Basketball and for the others stand by for news from Gary per Speed and Agility Training.
