TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

    Playoffs! The rain will not keep us from having a 2009 Champion!!!

Playoffs are scheduled for August 15th (raindate August 16th), starting at 4 PM, with the SeaJays playing the Young Ones, at 5:45 Fernlot will be playing the Class of '04, Championship game will start approximately at 7:30 playing under the lights to 9 PM or 7 innings.  

Come watch a lot of softball, cheer your team / player, enjoy a summer night.

See the team/roster for the players. The rosters may change due to the timing.   

The following Rules are in place for 2009, there have been some changes duet to the new format.

Tournament Rules:   Play 6 innings or 75 minutes

  • Championship game will end at 9 PM
  • Everyone bats whether they play or not, there is a continuous at bat so everyone gets to bat all the games, each game will adhere to the line up, no players can be inserted into the lineup after the game has started, no DHs, no subbing (including runners unless there is an injury or physical reason), new person arrives goes to end of line up for that game 
  • Format is to play each team in your division, play three games, winner of division goes to the semis, then to finals.  Tie Breaker for the Division play -- 1. Head to Head, 2. Run Differential (Max. 7 runs per game), 3. Fewest Runs Allowed, 4. Coin Toss
  • Teams must keep scores, confirm score at the end of each inning with opposing team (Field Manager and Ump will also assist)
  • No two consequetive walks - no more than two walks per inning, keep the number of walks down and encourage the batter to swing.
  • No bunting, stealing or leading
  • Pitch --10 feet or less Arch
  • Forfeit after 15 minutes if team not ready
  • 4 outfielder -- 10 total players
  • No strikeouts on foul balls
