The Hillsborough Jr. Raiders is an independent recreational youth organization serving the community of Hillsborough, NJ, since 1992. The Jr. Raiders offers organized youth activities in four areas; flag football, tackle football, track & field and cheerleading.   The Hillsborough Jr Raiders organization is committed to teaching the children sportsmanship along with the skills they need to have fun playing.  There is also a focus on preparing the children to play at the high school level.

Fall activities include Flag Football (K to 2nd grade), Tackle Football (2nd to 8th grade), and Cheerleading (K to 8th grade).   Track & Field takes place in the Spring (Ages 5-14).

The Tackle Football program includes both in-town and travel teams.  Our in town league, which we call the Hillsborough Football League (HFL), is segmented into 3 divisions by age, weight and experience. For more information on the tackle football divisions Click Here.
We have two travel teams which compete in the Jr. Skyland Football Conference at the JV level (5th and 6th grade) and Varsity level (7th and 8th grade).  We are very proud of our travel teams. They have won several Jr. Skyland Conference Championships.  In 2008 they won the first ever NJUWYFA State Championship. 

Cheerleading provides spirit for the fall football in-town and travel teams. Select Competition squads also participate in statewide cheer competitions.

In-Town Track & Field takes place on Sundays in May and June.  It features weekly in-town meets for five age groups.
