- Cheerleader exhibition - Sunday OCT 19th. The girls are a big part of our football program and it would be nice for the teams to come out and support the girls on their big day. It is at the HHS. Lot's of families have both boys and girls there. So think about having the team come and support the girls on their SuperBowl performance day.

- Raffle Books- are to be turned in weekend of 10/25 with drawing on November 1 at div 1 Super Bowl. the prizes are$5,000 $2,000 and $1,000. All books are to be collected, if books are not collected it simply means they will not have a chance to win the prizes. When raffle book stubs are returned, they are to be separated (Take staple out of the stub) and the teams individual raffles are to be handed to directors in a zip locked bag.

- All Star Saturday - on Nov 8th, we will have all star Saturday which culminates with give a ways and prizes. Players will be put together to Platy on the Red squad or the white squad. And a cumulative score will be kept through divisions. We are thinking about the format so any input you want to provide is appreciated. This may also be 1st round of the JR Skyland Playoffs and we are hoping our Varsity team will be hosting a game at the HHS. We are going to ask all the kids to come in Red Jersey's and to be there. Who knows we may even have a special presentation to make for award winners.

- Equipment return is scheduled the week of Nov 10th. Players who plan on returning will clean their equipment and return them in their mesh equipment bags with their name clearly visible. Will be given a coupon if the equipment is returned on time and clean and they indicate they will return next season. the coupon is worth $10 off for the 2009 registration. If a player indicated they will not return they must also let us know so we can restore their bags to inventory. The bags are to be returned to the coaching staff and each team returning all their bags on time will receive a voucher to get 3 pizza pies at Angelo's or Sal's for their team parties.

- Team parties - we have grown too large to have team parties and what teams have done in the past is have individual team parties. I would suggest that teams consider reserving the municipal building together and join and give the kids a time to celebrate and maybe watch some game highlights. If you are interested in doing this I suggest booking a date now. because the room goes fast. You can also consider using a school.

Lastly and New this year - The Super bowl trophies are named the Paulie Trophy, in honor of Paul Gubitosi a former player and ref of the league. Paulie died in a car accident in his senior year of High School and is Greatly missed. His Parents Guy and Agnes Gubitosi and His bother Tom and sister Christine have given many awards in High school and do a huge golf outing each year to help kids.

This year they have asked us to offer 2 scholarship awards of $500 each. One for a football player and one for a cheerleader. The award will be in the form of a contest. An official flyer will be presented in the coming weeks. The contest will ask each applicant to write an essay on what they would do to change the world and make it a better place. As always we will provide you all the details. I just wanted you to know about it a head of time.
