Jr Raider In-Town Track
Sundays Start time 11 am
NOW AT Singley Park
near Woodfern school Field
May 3,10,17,31June 7,14
End time depends on number of participants (usually about 2 hours)
Shirts and Shorts will be given out on the first day of Track (May 3)
*Parents should bring lawn chairs to sit on
* Kids need to bring:· Water Bottles· Sneakers and socks (we will be on grass)· Extra clothes if it is cold

1. Registration $75 – late registration (after 4/1) $90 all fees non refundable.
2. The children are assembled on the Jr Raider Field (Willow Road) at 11:00 AM
3. The dates for 2009 are : 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/31, 6/7, 6/14
4. The children will be in groups as follows and the Boys will compete with Boys and the Girls with Girls if there are enough of each:
Roadrunner – age 5-6
Greyhound – age 7-8
Jaguar – age 9-10
Panther - age 11-12
Cheetah - age 13-14
5. At each session a warm-up and stretching will take place as one group.
6. The following is a list of events the children will compete in:Sprints – which varies from 50, 100, 200, and 400 depending on group.Shot Put – weight will vary depending upon age groupHurdlesJavelinDiscusRelay – varies depending upon number of childrenDistance – varies depending upon participants
7. Cancellation of TRACK will happen at the field. We will not call you or post it on website.
8. Shirts and shorts will be distributed at track. Children should wear them to participate. On colder days sweat clothes may be worn. Sneakers must always be used.

10. Although competitions are held each week for each event children are instructed and given practice in events. The purpose is that they learn about the sport and develop a love for it. As well as understanding the events and competition. Awards are presented to each participant.
