Coach Goyzueta began coaching the Jordan High School's girls soccer team August, 2000. During his first year at Jordan the girls soccer team started the year uncertain of their abilities. Through the season Coach Goyzueta taught the girls soccer skills, however, the most important lesson he taught was to believe in themselves. During the season, one could often hear him say, "I believe in you. And if I believe in you, you can do it." The team finished the year with a record of 11-5-0 and 2nd place in the State 5A High School Championships! The 2001 team was Region 2 Champs as well as 2nd place in the State 5A High School Championships with a record of 15-3-0. Jordan's 2002 team record was 15-3-0 with a 2nd place finish in the State 5A High School Championships. Total 3-year record is 41-11-0.
Coach Goyzueta has been coaching in Salt Lake City, Utah since 1980 and was instrumental in the early development of the Utah Youth Soccer asssociation. From 1983 until 1983 he was the UYSA State Coach and conducted coaches' licensing program for "E" and "D" Licenses. He is a "B" licensed coach and completed FIFA Coaching Program in Venezuela in 1977. Other Utah High Schools he has coached at are Skyline (1984-1986) and Granite (1988-1989). In addition, he has coached the Flamengo U-17 and U-19 teams and the Flamengo Adult League.
