IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) Founded in 1939; Little League was granted Federal Charter July 16, 1964, by unanimous act of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States of America and signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson as Public Law 88-378, 88th Congress H.R. 9234, and amended December 26, 1974, Public Law 93-551, 93rd Congress, H.R. 8864. Little League is a Federal Incorporation granted under a Bill signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on July 17, 1964, and amended December 24, 1974, to admit girls. The legislation, which received unanimous approval of both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, is Public Law 88-378. It is the highest recognition that the Federal Government can accord. It provides for incorporation of Little League in all 50 states and endows the program with protective integrity by the U.S. Government. |

Local Little League Sponsorship Agreement This agreement between the Jewett City Little League(hereinafter, JCLL)and(hereinafter, Sponsor) is for the 2011 season. Sponsorship of a team in the JCLL must be, for the Sponsor, out of a sense of duty to help the community. While Sponsorship does afford some benefits, the higher purpose is to help the JCLL impart the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play to the children of the community, so that they may someday use these values in becoming good citizens. Sponsorship of a team in the JCLL does not permit the Sponsor to have any rights or responsibilities in the operation of the JCLL or any team in the JCLL, nor does the Sponsor have any rights or responsibilities in the selection of managers, coaches or players for any team in the JCLL. Nothing herein shall make us partners or joint venturers. The Sponsor and the JCLL are independent contractors with respect to one another, and neither shall have any authority to represent or bind the other in any manner or to any extent whatsoever, except as specified herein. The Sponsor shall have the right to use the following term in advertisements, posters, brochures, newsletters, etc.: Sponsor of a team in the Jewett City Little League. Sponsorship does NOT give the Sponsor the right to use the word official in connection with its Sponsorship. Any reference to the Sponsorship under this agreement must make it clear that the Sponsorship is with a team or teams in the JCLL only, and NOT for Little League Baseball and Softball. Use of the keystone logo or any other logo of Little League Baseball and Softball is prohibited, unless permission is expressly granted in writing by Little League International. Sponsorship options are offered as gifts only and imply no obligation on the part of Jewett City Little League... |
