IMPORTANT !

Coaches Code of Ethics:


- I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win.
- I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group.
- I will do my best to provide a safe playing situation for my players.
- I promise to take time to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players.
- I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players.
- I will make the effort to learn the rules of Little League Baseball and teach them to my players.
- I will educate myself on the latest coaching techniques appropriate to the age group I coach and present them to my players in a positive manner.
- I will demand that my players never criticize their own teammates or intentionally embarrass or humiliate players of the opposing team.
- I will provide a sports environment for my players that emphasizes teamwork over individual recognition.
- I will maintain a team atmosphere that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and will refrain from their use at all youth-included Little League events.
- I will remember that I am a youth sports coach and that the game is for the children, not adults.

ALL Manager & Coach appointments are NOT final until an 2014 Volunteer Application or 2014 Returning Volunteer Application is completed by the individual and cleared by JCLL...

MANAGERS / COACHES

Anyone wishing consideration in managing a team in any division must submit a 2014 Manager’s Application and 2014 Volunteer Application (with copy of photo ID and full Social Security Number) or Returning Volunteer Application. This includes returning managers, managers moving up or down, and new managers. To be considered for a manager position, both applications must be submitted to the league by: February 19, 2014

Manager selection will be announced February 24th. Managers may select two coaches and a team parent / coach. All coaches / team parents are required to submit a 2014 Volunteer Application (with copy of photo ID and full Social Security Number) or 2014 Returning Volunteer Application prior to ANY contact with the players and no later than : April 1, 2014

* Failure to submit a completed 2014 Volunteer Application (with copy of photo ID and full Social Security Number) or 2014 Returning Volunteer Application by due date will forfeit all Little League participation…

 

MANAGER’S MEETING

Thursday, March 20th

6:00 p.m.

@ The French Club

The Manager’s Meeting is mandatory for all managers and coaches. You will be asked to sit with your respective divisional VP, fellow managers, and coaches. The meeting will be held upstairs in the French Club. A pasta dinner will be served. Manager folders will be distributed.

Note: only those interested in managing a team for the 2014 season need submit a Manager’s Application. Coaches will be nominated by their respective Managers and approved by the Board of Directors.

 TEAM PRACTICES

No team practices will be held:

Prior to March 22nd

&

Volunteer Applications must be submitted and processed

&

Player Medical Releases must be completed and returned to team Manager
